"The art in the Ousama Ranking manga is so bad"

This totally triggered something in me and I felt like I needed to contribute, but one thing about Ousama Ranking too is that the art gets better!

We have a page from volume 1 on the left and a page from volume 12 on the right.

I know manga artists' styles change over time especially over 11ish volumes, but I'm honestly floored with Tooka's growth through this series. I'm not an artist at all, but even I had to laugh at what I was looking at in volume 1.

I have to say I really grew to love his style the more I read. It got better with every volume and the story is great enough to keep your attention. His style in the later volumes reminds of Osamu Tezuka and I think it suits Tooka and the story.

Basically, I just wanted to say if your reasoning for not reading Ousama Ranking is because of the art, please give it a chance! It does get better and you're missing out on a great story with great characters if you let the art hold you back.

Since it was the 17 year anniversary of The Black Parade only just days ago, I thought I would ask this question. Personally my top three favourites are Sleep, Disenchanted and I don’t love you with Mama being a close fourth. I like all of the ones listed on here but was wondering what you guys like the most .
