“I think I’ve finally cracked it!” James called triumphantly from the desk next to hers. They had been holed up in their office for the better part of the last two and a half hours working through the complex scheduling of prefect patrols for the start of the year. It seemed like an unsolvable jigsaw puzzle- between availability, commitments, exam schedules, and pairing their 7th year prefects as mentors with the 5th years.
