but the way daemon said "my queen", the way he did hold rhaenyras hand, the way he grabbed her tigh, the way he kissed her shoulder, the way he watched her when they where in the city and he took her to the borthel, the way he took her hand, the way he could not ruin her but wanted her hand, the way he asked her "is this what you want?", the way he is a chaotic mess always going with the flow but is now plotting a war, to put his wife on the throne, the way he was a fucking depressed mess for over 10 years because he was separated from her, the way he put that necklace around her neck, the way he teached her high valyrian, the way it became their love language, the way he really married her in the style of old valyria, the way rhaenyra was on his mind for years, the way he tried everything to get her out of his head, the way he must have felt when she said "I need you", the way he never felt good enough, the way there is so much anger in him, so much frustration but still so much love for the people he cares about, the way he lost his mother and laena, the way he had to hear rhaenyras screams while giving birth to visenya, the way he killed a man for calling his wife a whore without hesitation, the way he wants her to be happy, the way it must hurt him to see her so broken unable to take the pain away this time, the way he said "thank you princess" at the tournament, the way she was haunting him his dreams, the way he said "I want Rhaenyra. Wed her to me." The way it was always "Marriage is only a political arrangement" but not with her. The way he will fight and murder for her and already did, the way he will fucking die for her, the way he still loves her so deeply that it's consuming him, the way he not once stood up for alicent, the way he can be brutal ans cruel but still respects her wishes, the way he is crazy for her, the way had to bring a whole continent between them, the many ways he showed his love for her, the way he is the rogue prince but so weak for her, ready to kill anyone who would harm her, the way he took his time to undress her on the beach, not only fucking her but making love with her, the way he grabbed her face, the way he got on his knees, the way he finds comfort in her touch, the way he kissed her bloody lips, the way he was giving her the opportunity to chose someone else, the way he was so excited showing her the new eggs, the way she is his home, the way he maybe was feeling at peace for the first time in his life, the way she is his queen.

The way he wanted the throne but in the end ended up wanting her more.

The way I want them to die together even so I know no matter what will happen they will always burn together.

Daemon did something for rhaenyra, something that was not talked about enough. He let her go. Of course you can say that he had to and that he was not able to handle the whole situation different but I am pretty sure that if he wanted he could have taken her away from that wedding party.

"Take me to dragonstone and make me your wife."

He didn't. Not just because he saw no way out or was not ready but because he knew that it was not the right time. That this was not there time yet.

"You where a child."

He brought a whole continent between him and rhaenyra. She said she felt abdomend by him. But in a way those 10 years where important for her personal growth. It was hard. Rough. She felt left alone but at the same time she managed painful births. She became a women. She had harwin, she did take what she wanted, she became more experienced, she had time to find herself without daemon. And I think that this was important for her. She fell in love with daemon when she was still a child, a teenager. But when he came back she became a grown women.

Their bond was unbroken, it was not only a crush, she had time to realize that she really wants daemon at her side, that she wanted him as her husband, that her feelings are strong and real, valid.

They are equal.

Daemon is the rogue prince. He had many women. Daemon is a man that takes what he wants. But he did let her go and she came back to him, confident in her feelings for him.

"I want you."

She decided that he was the one she really wanted. That this was not a fever dream in a borthel but that what she feels for him is real love.

He did not force her into this marriage. Daemon himself knew what damage that kind of marriage can do to a person, he wanted her hand, he wanted to wed her but in the end he did let rhaenyra make the decision. And her decision was that she wants him at her side, that he is the only man that could handle and understand her, even the darkest parts for her.
