- traveling to uzushio arc, where naruto discovers more about his roots. tsunade explains the senju-uzumaki dynamic. maybe nagato mentions uzushio to him. or maybe naruto interrogates karin about it. and she leads him to what is left of their homeland.
- a hyuga clan crisis arc, in which we get to see the progression of neji and hinatas relationship. hinata wanting to prove to her family, and to figure out ways to break the seal. hanabi, hinata, and neji bonding!
(perhaps kaguya foreshadowing) - more jinchuuriki backstory.
- kunoichi screentime. more kunoichi training, going on missions. and them being at the front lines.
- team bonding sessions. building up the relationship of the rookies and how close they are. how willing they are to support naruto and foreshadow their comeback during the war.

- an entire arc of tsunade training sakura before part 2 started. because bOY WE DESERVED TO SEE IT.
- kurenai, anko, and shizune training with the rest of the younger kunoichi.
