Hinata VS Sakura: Taijutsu
64 Palms is a true testament to Hinata’s amazing taijutsu prowess.
Notice what Kakashi says. REGARDLESS of having penetrative vision, to be able to hit the Chakra Points in the heat of battle is something this man finds amazing. And this is Kakashi simply speaking of the Gentle Fist itself, not even the 64 Palms, a combo attack that pushes the Gentle Fist to its limit.
With 64 Palms, Hinata needs to react, aim, and move fast enough to align the tiny chakra points at the edge of her fingers which are as small as the tip of a needle with the various equally tiny chakra points on a non-static opponent’s body 64 times, all while maneuvering around in the heat of battle in a manner and speed so as to prevent her opponent from escaping her combo attack. Pretty sure that qualifies as better reflexes, precision, and skill than getting kicked by Omoi, a fodder in Taijutsu.
Then there is their short taijutsu feats in The Last.
With Sakura, it’s nothing impressive. She fights off a bunch of maiden puppets that were designed for service rather than combat, and her taijutsu itself doesn’t come off as that impressive when noticing that all the maiden puppets just fly towards her with no coherence. They literally just fly towards her one after the other with complexity to their movements.
With Hinata, she fights against the same puppets that gave Hiashi and Naruto trouble. During the fight, with no Byakugan abilities and pure taijutsu, she redirects the momentum of one of the puppets, sending it flying, dodges an attack from above before proceeding to double kick two other puppets and black flips off of one of them into the air. Landing, she then, without even seeing it, dodges a puppet who attacks her from behind, and finally proceeds to take on two other puppets before being stopped by Toneri.
and before anyone tries to bring up Hinata getting hit by one puppet, no.
Sakura’s agility is definitely there, but not only is Hinata’s taijutsu still faster (64 Palms), but its not the same as what Hinata displayed, actually fighting puppets made for combat, same ones who fought off Naruto and Hiashi, wherein she also displayed great skill, redirecting momentum, back flipping off opponents, incorporating kicks into the Gentle Fist style, which doesn’t even use kicks, dodging an attack from behind without even using Byakugan, If Hinata can avoid a point-blank assault from behind when she is aware it is coming without using the Byakugan’s 360 vision and precognitive abilities, she’s not falling prey to a linear, predictable punch from Sakura, and I will present even more proof to back that up.
Both Sasuke and Lee essentially say that linear attacks are very predictable to those with dojutsu and thus easily counterable. Even if one wants to argue Sakura’s running speed is greater, Hinata’s faster striking speed and Byakugan would allow her to easily intercept attacks from Sakura in taijutsu.
We know that not only can Hinata keep track of high speed as Neji used his Byakugan to keep track of Lee when he was in 5th Gate, and Hinata’s Byakugan has been said to be in no way weaker or inferior to Neji’s, but as shown above, being able to read Chakra allows the user to anticipate an enemies movements, meaning Hinata will know how Sakura is going to move before she even moves , as stated by Shikadai.
Note that “going to” is future tense, meaning the Byakugan allows its user to know the opponent’s movements before they even move, akin to Sharingan, though not necessarily the same thing.
I also want to point out that Sasuke, with 3t Sharingan’s foreseeing powers, managed to outmaneuver and dodge attacks from the vastly faster and speedy V1 Cloak Naruto. So clearly, faster foot speed isn’t a decieding factor against eyes that can foresee attacks.
Factor in that Byakugan’s insight and chakra-reading capabilities surpass Sharingan’s, as stated by Kakashi, and this means Byakugan’s foreseeing powers are greater than Sharingan’s. Meaning Hinata is dodging every punch Sakura throws at her thanks to her Byakugan, better reflexes, and better taijutsu.
Hinata’s taijutsu is also very fast, evidenced by the 64 Palms, and the Air Palm, which is noted as being a very fast strike. Sakura herself is nothing more than a straightforward fighter, often doing nothing more than dishing out simple punches that hold very little value or worth in a legitimate taijutsu battle, as shown time and time again.
Literally the exact same pose and punch every damn time.
Compare that to someone who can rapidly and accurately hit 64 tiny points in battle, and all the evidence is in favor of Hinata in a taijutsu fight, even IF Sakura’s foot speed is faster, simply because Hinata’s eyes would keep track of such speed and read her movements prior to her even moving. And her superior, faster, and more dynamic taijutsu would allow Hinata to counter such speed and mundane combat skills. Factor in Sakura’s linear attacks, which Lee and Sasuke both point out are predictable as all hell, and it just adds another layer of evidence to Hinata absolutely demolishing Sakura in taijutsu.
The byakugan has no precognitive abilities, that’s the sharingan you’re talking about. According to Kishi’s manga and databooks it gives the user near 360 degree vision, x ray vision and the ability to see far. Neji, Hinata, Hiashi, no one ever got precognitive abilities. Sasuke did. That was added in the Boruto anime and even then the sharingan gives precognitive abilities and we already saw Sakura blitz and surprise an MS user i.e. Shin.
Sakura is only foot speed faster?
She’s trained in evasion by Tsunade against Tsunade and has feats evading numerous puppets from Sasori as a chunnin in early part 2. Sasori’s puppets are made for combat and are controlled by him so…
And what do you mean IF Sakura’s foot speed is faster? IT IS.
Databook 3 has Sakura with a higher speed stat and in canon nothing disproves this since Hinata has no speed feats.

Where are Hinata’s speed feats?
In canon Sakura is faster not maybe.
Furthermore you are trying to diminish Sakura’s skills and feats to elevate Hinata’s Hyuga style which all Hyuga practise. You’re actually using Hinata blocking chakra points in the heat of battle to wank her as amazing at taijutsu beyond Sakura in all ways? You are actually saying that Sakura poses the same way on panel so she’d predictable? LMAO
Based on Databook 3 Hinata’s taijutsu is generally superior however that would refer to her style and marital arts since Sakura has shown superior speed and outstanding evasion along with a taijutsu stat in db 3 a little lower. Put that together and she’s more than capable of dodging Hinata even IF she allows her to get close.
We’re talking about a taijutsu brawl am I wrong? Well in that case what exactly is stopping Sakura from dodging Hinata and touching her once which would kill her because of Sakura’s strength. Hinata cannot parry her blows since Sakura’s strength would destroy her arms and Sakura evaded Sasori’s multiple puppets and is trained in evasion so evading Hinata alone would not be hard.
Also if it’s a close combat fight and we’re not specifically talking about martial arts Sakura has shown the ability to punch the ground and do this:

This would kill Hinata without even touching her.
Also if we’re using Hinata’s stat of 3.5 vs Sakura’s stat of 3 in databook 3 in terms of taijutsu to prove that Hinata is miles ahead of her and will surely win in a fight then why is Sakura’s speed stat of .5 more ignored and played off as a non factor?
Sakura has superior speed, super strength and amazing evasion (evading Sasori’s puppets, trained in evading Tsunade and evading Kaguya’s chakra arms). Sakura’s taijutsu is not limited to attacking a person as it is long ranged when she punches the ground for her cherry blossom impact and Hinata cannot parry a punch from Sakura. Sakura needs one touch up close and nothing from afar, just punching the ground. She can even punch the air in Hinata’s direction. Hinata is really only superior in her taijutsu in terms of martial arts and technique .5 more according to databook 3), she isn’t faster nor does her style have the same versatility and power as Sakura/Tsunade’s super strength combined with evasion and healing.
