LMAO jayhelenaroy starting with Roy doing his usual “sleaze all over women especially when he thinks they have a BF” thing but then unexpectedly jayhelena aren’t even dating AND jays really into it

HA I LOVE THIS. i just love Roy's sleazy era where he'd fuck any woman just bc he could. he was unhinged and it was delightful. and it's even funnier if he makes the assumption Jason and Helena are dating with no *actual* evidence. he hasn't even really seen them together outside of vigilante stuff. to him it's just a natural logic leap. similar values, disliked by Bruce, probably dating. they certainly seem like each other's type. also infinitely funnier if Roy hasn't processed his own sexuality, so he interprets his feelings for both of them as just wanting to spite Jason, for some reason. which obviously, the only way to do that is to fuck Helena, who's surprisingly receptive to Roy's bad flirting.

and so when Roy goes to gloat to Jason and gets... very little reaction, it's confusing for everyone. Jason is both amused and complimented that Roy thought he pulled Helena in the first place. bc he never thought about Helena that way until *now* that Roy's brought it up. now Jason wants all the details and he's prodding Roy for more. and it takes Roy a second to figure out that it isn't *just* a crush on Helena, but maybe a thing for Roy too. the ensuing sexuality crisis is free entertainment for Jason. and it does eventually lead to a threesome where Helena is beyond done with both of them.

I had an idea.

This could be either Dickjay or Jaytim, choose a favourite, hell put all three of them together.

The point is, Jason realises he has a crush on a batboy of your choosing and after the first freakout, he decides that fuck it, they're all adults they can do whatever they want. But, he needs to be sneaky about it, the bats are all repressed disasters with emotional intelligence of a brick.

So he sets up a plan, nice 100 step plan with all the proper contingencies to get his love interest at first comfortable with him and then eventually seduce him. And I'm talking extremely thorough detailed plans, this needs to be perfect, He needs to be perfect. Toss in some self-esteem issues for flavor.

At the same time said love interest also has a realisation and comes to the exact same conclusion, Bruce fucked all of them up in the emotions department, so he needs a good detailed plan if he wants to stand a chance.

So now you have two, or three if you decide to go that route, genius dumbasses dancing around each other. The misunderstandings, the pining, the colliding plans. Even better if they recruit friends for strategy meetings and to help with execution.

Do you see my vision?

What if I wrote a fic where an older and more jaded Tim slowly loses himself as he tries to break the back of corporatised America from the inside, while vigilantes--ignorant to his greater plot--assume his grey morality has finally got the better of him and he's now a liability. And what if only a select few people, like Dick, know but they also begin to have doubts as Tim, in order to ensure success, has to convince even himself that he is a callous, money-loving and compassionless monster. And what if all this comes to a head and engenders deep emotional turmoil, mistrust and physical jeopardy from many corners.

Dick sat across Bruce's desk from Tim and stared. The days had long since passed when Tim would have balked under that particularly pointed expression, but he'd be lying to say he wasn't at least a little rattled. Dick had crested forty and age mattered less now, but he'd always be the eldest and the first, and that came with an authority in their small ranks all of its own. Besides, Dick's resolve, always ironclad, had only grown since Bruce's retirement. His resolve for justice, for fairness, for process, for transparency among their depleted community, and above all, for protecting his people. Tim ran his tongue over his teeth and waited.

'No,' Dick said at last.

Tim snorted. 'It's not a request, Dick.'

Blue eyes narrowed. 'We made a promise a long time ago, Tim–one that's very important to me–, that there'd be no more unilateral plays.' He lowered his voice. 'Especially between us.'

Nodding slowly, Tim played with the soft leather arm of his chair and conceded the point without meeting Dick's expectant gaze. He sighed. 'Then it is a request,' he said, lifting his eyes. 'If I keep going this way, I will go insane, Dick. Do you know how many forced labor workers we freed in the last year?'

Dick shook his head.

'Hundred forty three. Do you know how many of them have been imprisoned or deported? No? Hundred twenty nine. Two died. One disappeared. The ones in prison are now sewing garments for Huxley and Marr. The same Huxley and Marr we have dinner with once a quarter to keep WE in "good" company.' Tim let that percolate for a moment before he leaned forward in his seat and continued: 'You know how many forced labor units operate under Huxley and Marr right here in this city? Seven. Fifteen hundred workers, Dick. And the suits bringing them in and letting them down keep getting sanction after sanction, and maybe–maybe–a nominal fine here and there.'

Dick made a face. He knew. Of course he did. He was the last person Tim had to explain all this to, and yet, to buy his way into the solution he was trying to sell, he had to massage some amount of guilt. Which was fine; he was well-practiced. He pushed his hair back from his face and began. 'I can't keep protecting people with the mask on when we keep feeding them to the mill when our masks are off. I can't.'

The bones of the house creaked around them. Somewhere upstairs a door opened and closed. Damian maybe. Or Bruce alert to the growing plot here at his own desk. He was retired, yes, but not out. 'What do you propose?' Dick asked, then smirked: 'Assuming you already asked for this meeting with an entire strategy already at hand.'

Tim barked a single laugh. 'Okay, so... Remember my time with the League?'

Would Tim, in order to cosy up to certain corporate and moneyed corrupt shits, go after the vigilante community in a show of centralised, authoritarian strength? Would Tim even start to believe a bit–jaded as he is–that the vigilante community needs to be fixed or regulated? Would Dick begin to wonder if Tim is starting to lose himself in his own theatre of deceit? Would vigilantes unaware of the ploy begin to whisper among themselves about the need to neutralise this dangerous threat?

Delicious to think of the consequences.

Jason weaponizing his coming back to life by going to the media and telling a story about how he'd been kidnapped and held hostage for months/years so that even his family believed him dead. Months of torture before he bravely escaped and returned to his beloved family, who took him and helped him heal (even keeping the story secret and him away from the media until he was mentally prepared to go out in the world again).

Forcing Bruce to sit beside him in an interview about what happened. Forcing Bruce to talk about how he's happy that his believed dead son is back (and oh, how hollow those words sound, but he sometimes pretends they are true, even if Bruce has never told him those words when it wasn't in front of a camera). TEARING UP during interviews.

Talking about social projects he has for Park Row and that he's doing that with the support of Wayne's social projects (which is true, for the appearances and the IRS, but he's also putting a lot of money he obtained through Red Hood means into it). Becoming the darling of the gossip columns (even if he hates that the same people who say they like him now were calling him "Bruce Wayne's charity case" back in the day).

Doing all that in a way that makes him become sort of high-profile, a known face, and springing that on Bruce before Bruce can react in any way that doesn't play right into Jason's own plan. What is Bruce Wayne going to do? Reject the boy who's already been through so much? Try to expose Jason's lies, when Jason holds many of his secrets? Tell people the truth???

Jason Todd's connection to Bruce Wayne becomes a dangerous thing, because if they find out that Jason is Red Hood, then he'll have nothing else to lose.

Thinking about Jason and Bruce and some other Batfam people (Dick would kind of be needed too, and Cass and Damian would fit here as well) and only one of Tim, Steph and Duke (it's important that only one of these three are present here).

Anyway, for convoluted plot reasons, they all get trapped in some magic realm place by some random villain. The villain says that only a person without blood on their hands can "open the door" to return them to reality.

Intense discussion starts, and from the get go, Jason, Damian and Cass are not in the list of options. Now, this is from Jason's POV, so he's thinking like "well, idk the technicalities but it seems reasonable that Dick would be the one to do it."

Cue Bruce and Dick (and Tim if he's there) eyeing each other awkwardly when Jason suggests Dick.

Something something Dick says that the person he killed was brought back to life, but he doesn't want to risk the wording of the spell trapping them to consider that he did kill someone.

(no they don't say who he killed, and obligatory "no, it wouldn't be good for Jason to find it out, because it wasn't done for him 👍").

Anyway, more discussions happen and then Bruce decides he's going to try to free them and Jason is just "???????? Excuse me????"

Everyone is "???????" at Jason.

And Jason is like "well, if it still counts if the person came back to life, then Bruce obviously can't do it. It has to be Tim/Steph/Duke".

And Bruce is also "???????"

And the worst thing is to notice that Bruce didn't even notice that he killed Jason with the batarang :/ he thought there was something there, that Bruce's choice revealed something, but the bastard doesn't even know what he did.

Jason is conflicted about revealing the truth, because admitting that Bruce chose to kill him instead of letting him kill the Joker is his most shameful secret.

do you have any favorite ships with jason todd?

hmmm, I think my fave Jason ship is probably either "emotionally fraught about each other and also low-key both having daddy issues about the same dude without actually being certain if that makes them technically 'family' or what" DickJay or "Jason is genuinely annoyed about how well this threesome is going" Joyfire, but I've been known to read and enjoy plenty of JayTim and, unsurprisingly, a bit of JayKon here and there. Also JayTimKon is CONCEPTUALLY interesting to me but I've never quiiite figured out the dynamic I'd personally wanna write it with so I mostly just read the established relationship PWPs when I'm in the mood for that one, hah.

Also I REALLY like JaySteph as a concept and one day I should ABSOLUTELY write "Jason comes back to Gotham, like, five minutes earlier than he did in canon and runs into a pissed-off ex-Robin from the shitty side of town with a well-meaning-but-also-an-addict mother and an asshole criminal dad who's currently trying to start a gang war to prove something to Batman" and exactly what that would do to his brain one way or the other, hahaha.

( Jason, visibly torn even THROUGH the helmet: so do I make her MY Robin or do I just fucking marry her, fuuuck I didn't pack for a WEDDING and I gotta woo her RIGHT, right, does she like flowers or is she more the brass knuckles kinda girl, do you know??

being-held-hostage-"civilian"!Tim who just broke UP with Steph like five minutes ago and is having some weird feelings about the crime lord who is apparently asking him for dating advice in REGARDS to her, and is also trying to sneak speed-dial either Bruce or Young Justice on the cell phone he grabbed off a henchman post-kidnapping: uh who the fuck are you again, sir and/or ma'am, I don't actually know what's under all that body armor. also brass knuckles, obviously, this is Gotham, what kind of girl do you think she is?

Jason: you're so right, I bet I can get 'em in diamond-studded and just propose with THOSE and also that gang war she wants to start.

Tim: . . . yeah honestly that'd probably work--wait gang WHAT?!?? )

PROMPT: Dick or any of the other Batfam members see bruises on Jason and think he's in an abusive relationship. Jason shuts any and all conversation on the topic down. They bring their concerns to Bruce, who sort of just...blue screens (those are HIS handprints on Jason's hips, after all) and then seems to brush it off. They're not happy with this response, so naturally a family full of detectives will want to investigate...until they wish they hadn't.

dick is the first one to notice the bruises. they're faint, but unmistakable. a handprint on jason's hip. he doesn't say anything at first, but he holds jason's gaze, making it obvious that he's seen it, silently asking for an explanation, if things are okay. but jason doesn't offer any. he just glares back.

"what happened?" dick then asks.

"none of your damn business," jason sneers, then turns to leave.

tim notices it next—the red marks around jason's wrists.

"what is that?" he frowns.

"you've never seen a bruise before? that happens in our line of work. sounds like you've been slacking off," jason says, shrugging it off before exiting the room.

the family discusses it among themselves. they've seen the signs before, they know what they're looking at. jason's unwillingness to talk about it speaks volumes. those are not some incidents that occurred during a mission. so they're determined to help, whether he wants them to or not.

thinking more about jaytims praise kinks

so let's play with that, tims normally the one tied up and at jasons mercy when they play, but sometimes it goes the other way

and jason loves it when tim gets bossy and mean and stays in charge, so when tim starts to tie jason down he only puts up a token fight cause he wants to see where this goes

he doesn't expect tim to use the opportunity to handle jason /gently/, didnt expect the soft touches and slow riding and all the- the praise

all the "people overlook how clever and strategic and patient you are"

the "im jealous of your self control"

the "youre always so good to me- giving me things no one else can"

"let me give it back to you"

don't be sorry! thank you for adding on! you are correct!! tim having prepared a list in advance and memorizing it to just, ,,, ,, rattle back verbatim to jason is so so sosososo good!!! he would do that!!!

and jason just, shaking, crying beneath him, stuck in a loop of "please, tim, please" over and over again, not even knowing what he's asking for but not being able to stop! tim feeling a little worried that he fucking broke jason somehow in all this until jason finally fully comes apart

smthn smthn tim being so focused on a case but still letting jason fuck him, jason sitting in his computer chair with tim sat in his lap, tims whole focus on his research on the screen while jason is steadily losing himself to the feel of tim around him and getting increasingly turned on by tims constant attention to his work despite what jasons doing to him

what i need to finish: the media finding out about bruce & jason's relationship, jason being an absolute tease and bruce pretending nothing is going on & arkhamverse slowburn.

what i want to write: absolute degeneracy. jason with a Dad kink. voyeurism. burning jealousy. nasty hate-fucking. jason not remembering that he and bruce used to have sex when he was robin and bruce doesn't tell him after the resurrection but then he finds out on his own and—

Cute Jason/Eddie moment that sprang to mind while I was writing my silly essay about Eddie:

Jason hands Eddie a cigarette. They don't know each other well enough anymore for Jason to know if he smokes, but he figures he might? Also it seemed like that might make this monumentally awkward rooftop co-habitation a little more comfortable.

Eddie, being used to Rose, and lost in his own head a bit, gently cups Jason's hand and kisses his cigarette lit: "There."

Jason, blushing beet red and internally melting down from receiving the most tender, romantic gesture anyone has ever given him, completely unprompted, from a guy he's desperately hoping could at least still be a friend: "...thanks..."

anyway superior helena wayne origin:

when helena is around 2 or 3 -- too early for her to have conscious memories -- some horrible crisis-level tragedy takes out most of the batfam and bruce just. he stops. he stops being batman. he stops having anything to do with that life. he can't look at it anymore. he moves back into the manor and he raises his daughter in that lonely, enormous house and he never talks about any of it. not about his other children, or about batman -- certainly not about robin or spoiler or batgirl or --

anyway, he marries selina and they wrap themselves around their daughter and they raise her to have an Extremely Normal life.

(dick might be alive, but if he's alive he's definitely on a long, self-flagellating super-spy mission somewhere very far from here. bruce doesn't really talk about him either. cass and tim and damian are all definitely dead, though. so is steph. probably kate is too, to facilitate, well --)

helena was not actually named for helena bertinelli, but she does know that there's a lady with her name who comes to see her dad a lot and talks with him in urgent tones inside his office, even though neither of them really seems to like the other. (it's because in the absence of other vigilantes, huntress is now the primary protector of gotham, and she needs the batcave equipment, bruce.) both her parents maintain that other helena is Bad News and you should stay away from her, honey, because they have a primal fear of her finding out about the vigilante life and deciding she wants to be a part of it.

(this, naturally, works just as well as it usually does on adolescent children.)

JayHelenaTim JayHelenaTim JayHelenaTim !!!!

i feel like you slammed into my home like the Kool-Aid man and told me you had a new religion and i'm DELIGHTED bc sign me up-

this ship has SO much potential oh my god. i always prefer JayHelena with a third just bc i think it balances them (and keeps them from literally eating each other alive) well and provides the a third person to direct their intensity toward. and Tim is just. so good. bc Tim would try to separate them at first. he *likes* Helena and she's basically his older sister and she wants Jason nowhere *near* her. so when he realizes slowly that Jason is around Helena and they're sleeping together, Tim is losing it. he straight up tries to fight Jason about it i think. and Jason is wildly amused bc he's always delighted when something he does gets under Tim's skin and this time, he didn't even have to do it on purpose.

love the idea of like. Helena having to hold Tim back from going off on Jason and just mauling him. while Tim is trying to get between Helena and Jason when they start to argue. and Jason is just here for the carnage. he likes Helena, but he likes her even *more* when she's holding Tim back and being kind and protective of him. bc Helena and Jason have very different ideas of how to take care of Tim. so when Helena is kind and trying to calm Tim down, Jason wants to be the one riling him up.

and Helena is caught between knowing Jason has eyes for Tim while she's convinced her feelings for Tim are entirely familial. but the more Jason looks like he wants to devour Tim the more she realizes Jason *might* have a point. something something corruption kink. and that's not even getting into the morality of Tim surrounded by two ppl who are very steadfast on being pro-murder and how they'd slowly break him down. he's surrounded by the rhetoric so much he can't help but see the points to it. maybe he never wants to kill someone, but when Helena and Jason race to kill someone first, Tim feels stuck in place just watching it happen bc he's so entranced by the sight.

honestly i'd give anything to write that fic- Jason and Helena fighting over who gets to kill some generic villain. maybe they matter or maybe its just the principle of the argument. and Tim just watches knowing he should stop them but he can't. he has ample time to get the villain to safety as Jason and Helena brawl but Tim if anything, is holding the villain down to make sure they *don't* run bc he's sort of curious who's going to win this. and when whoever wins finally gets the kill, the tell Tim he was being so good for holding down the villain and he gets a bloody kiss on the cheek. and then they probably all fuck nasty about it idk.

anyway- i think this ship is neat. Jason and Helena both have a love for Tim that comes in *very* different shades and they could be absolutely unhinged about each other if you put them in the same room alone for even two seconds. there would be blood. whose blood? that's the fun of it. you never know.
