Do you do bugs? I’d like to put in a special request for insects with unique features especially beetles
When I think of specialized structures on beetles, I think of stag beetles, goliath, and hercules beetles. Here are some friends that i think you will like...

Have been on a quest to better understand insect mouthparts, here're breakdowns I did on mantis, but a lot of the basic structure applies to most insects with chewing mouthparts Here's also a very nice video that covers all adaptations and names all the individual parts:
Are you winning, son?
my love for the common green june beetle cannot be overstated. look at all the unique little scuffs n color variations 😭🥰😍🤧

little vampire moth, asking only for a single drop~
i loved working on this doll. i left the base sculpt pretty simple and figured that when i found something to decorate the wing holes with, the rest of the design would flow from there. didn't expect to end up with lace and blood as the theme, but it was nice to do something out of my usual wheelhouse.

Picked up a little resin bee egg case "jar" a few weeks back, and today this chonky little creature emerged. Gave her a sugar snacc and released. Love these sweet little nuggets ❤️
Also see, a relative of resin bees: Dianthidium curvatum, a pebble bee 💛
Today's beetle is Eucalyptus Leaf (Chrysophtharta nobilitata)
Everyone has that one deranged isopod enthusiast friend and if you don’t that simply means you are the deranged isopod friend.
If you’re in denial but this image made you think “ooooh nice” then that should be all the confirmation you need.

Today's isopod is Thai Spikey (Isopoda sp.)
today's bug thing is this blown glass beetle!
I really hope you feel better soon. Please take good care of yourself and enjoy some backyard bees.
Thank you! 10/10 wish I could pet their fuzzy butts
