"You finally got rid of that emo hat!" Kokichi, don't act as though you don't have the fattest boner for Shuichi. Don't stand there and act as though it wasn't standing to attention like Shuichi's newly discovered ahoge.

Honestly, Kokichi Ouma calling Miu Iruma a "filthy c*m dumpster" has to be the funniest thing to ever happen during a class trial in a Danganronpa game.

Other insults from him towards Miu include:

  • "Despised, pathetic, dirty c*m toilet of a person"
  • "C*m-soaked urinal cake"
  • "Vulgar bitch"
  • "Itty-bitty, peabrained bitchlet"
  • "Whore bitchlet"
  • "Horny exhibitionist"
  • "Unfuckable, ugly bitch"
  • "You sow"
  • "Squid-breath"
  • "Embarrassment to the human race"
  • Disgusting, shit-stuffed bitch

Just watched Alex Winter's new Shudder Original movie Destroy All Neighbors (directed by Josh Forbes) and it is a complete clusterfuck of gore, slimy special effects, and rock n roll craziness!

Alex Winter really loves having his head detached from his body, huh?

Vlad has got to be one of Alex's most unique (and potty-mouthed) characters yet. He is almost unrecognisable, donned head-to-toe in grotesque prosthetic makeup (not unlike his beast boy look for Freaked!).

Not just that, but Jonah Ray did an absolutely fantastic job playing struggling rock musician William Brown alongside Kiran Deol as his rather fed up girlfriend, Emily. This film mostly takes place in a shitty apartment building with equally shitty residents.

A drug-fueled splatter-comedy with epic music. An absolute blast! Highly recommend.

Holmes interacts with flowers twice in The Naval Treaty. One of which he admires, and the other he gives to Mrs. Hudson as a sign of gratitude.

I find it fascinating how he can pretend to be so unfeeling and purely logical, yet he allows himself to see the beauty in things as romantic and simple as music or flowers. Holmes handles the rose (in the left picture) so tenderly. In this scene, he is confronted for becoming distracted and even seems to have forgotten about the case entirely. Holmes finds comfort in nature (even if he pretends he hates it), as we see later in the episode:

Both interactions with flowers are in the presence of other people. It's as though Holmes can justify affection, but only if it is directed towards an object and not a person. Perhaps because he knows said object cannot reciprocate those feelings. When he gives Mrs. Hudson a flower, he's showing his affection for her through it instead of to her directly.

In a way, I feel as though Holmes expresses his love through acts of service as we see him give others gifts, like when he gives Watson his favourite type of cigars in A Scandal in Bohemia. I feel he prefers this method as there is less attention on him and his feelings, and more on the gift itself.

The 1976 adaptation of The Picture of Dorian Gray with Jeremy Brett as Basil Hallward.

Basil was one of my favourite characters in the novel so seeing Jeremy play him actually healed my soul a little bit.

However, did you know Jeremy Brett actually portrayed Dorian himself in The Picture of Dorian Gray (Season 5, episode 20) episode of Armchair Theatre in 1961? Haven't found any footage, but there are some photographs:

Edit: Aaaaand the reason why no footage can be found is because there is none! Zilch! It's disappeared without a trace! According to Wikipedia, many episodes of Armchair Theatre were lost and this particular episode was amongst them. Jeremy Brett's Dorian... completely lost to time... *sheds a tear*

He looks so uncomfortable 🥺

But some truly remarkable acting from Jeremy here. Holmes isn't used to receiving gratitude in such an intimate way, not even wanting to touch her hand for very long. It's almost as though we see Holmes try to calibrate what he should do in real time, his arm going around to hold her but stopping himself. We see him pry her off gently, and he then realises he's holding this young lady's hand. So he proceeds to flick it away. With a mute apology, he distances himself from her, preferring to stand at the window and have his back to his guests. It all happens very quickly.

I'm not entirely sure why Holmes reacts this way, but it's very characteristic of him.

Can we talk about the fact that Holmes BATHES WITH THE DOOR OPEN while Watson is right there? And they're just having a conversation like they've done it a million times?

They're married, I swear

And it's not just that, it's the fact that Watson is technically GETTING CHANGED in front of Holmes??

Also... Holmes and Watson are both undressed? Sounds pretty HOMOSEXUAL to me 🤨🧐

In relation to this post, we see Holmes wrap his robe around himself again here as he's looking out of the window at Moriarty:

It isn't very often that we see Holmes look so vulnerable, and this act of covering himself with his robe is something we see twice with not even 5 minutes between each instance. This action is also not one of Holmes' usual mannerisms. Holmes has a very open gesture most of the time, emphasising his carefree attitude and disregard for... basically everyone and everything 🤣.

Yet, here, Holmes is uncomfortable and afraid. And it is Moriarty who has frightened him.

Despite Holmes' discomfort, he still has a clear hatred in his eyes that we've never observed before from him. But it's hard to tell whether Holmes' anger is due to Moriarty's history of crime or because Moriarty was actually able to alarm him.

We see one of the very rare moments where Holmes is afraid, in the Granada Holmes episode The Final Problem. And it is in the presence of Professor Moriarty.

He shields himself with his robe and is clearly shaken, judging by his breathing. But there's also a look of anger and disgust when he clenches his teeth for just a moment.

Then he begins to speak. His voice falters at "You..." and there are odd pauses between "You... have... paid me", as though he's attempting to gather his courage again to say one last thing to Moriarty before he walks out the door.

Not to mention that Moriarty could kill him at any time, there being a deadly weapon concealed as a cane right there in Moriarty's hand which he had literally cocked and aimed directly at Holmes moments prior to this clip.

Holmes isn't afraid of death, but Moriarty has such a sense of menace about him that it's no surprise that Holmes is scared. In this episode, Mrs. Hudson even compares Moriarty to the 'devil himself'.

However, Holmes still has the suaveness to insult Moriarty by not even calling him by the correct title. Moriarty is a professor, but Holmes refers to him as simply "Mr. Moriarty". While we call our professors 'Mr.' nowadays, it was actually a sign of scholarly prestige in those times. So it's safe to say that Holmes doesn't stay stunned for very long.
