#could i leave queue#vicky and i just had a discussion about this scene#and the fact that smashing the impala was really dean lashing out in pain and anger and anguish at himself#because he didn't think he deserved to live#and he couldn't destroy himself directly but he could lash out at the extension of both himself and john#i don't know if he's entirely felt like he's worth saving or deserving of life since this moment#the fact that he carries on anyway thus is all the more tremendous#don't look at me#my sun and stars#you are boundless in beauty with fright in your face#dean#supernatural

QUESTIONS I ASK MYSELF DAILY. Why did these feelings have to happen to me, and how can I give them back?

His face is so upsetting (echoing his mother and informed by experience and reshaped by everyone he's ever loved). Great swaths of emotion and perception and battle-weariness and resolve etched onto a physical template.

#so i finally watched this season's premiere and i'm sO UPSET#don't#don't look at me#'i'm lost'#worse than i expected#the way she told him she hated him#just snarling at him#and the fact that the genuine fear and sadness he's carrying is so palpable yet he's still not holding himself accountable ugh#sorrow without any culpability#and now that darkness is seeping out everywhere and poisoning everyone#nope#my boy builds coffins#dexter

#i'm sorry i like to pretend i'm over it but i'm not and never will be#look at how they cling to one another with every breath and bone in their bodies#how they both consistently close their eyes because holding onto one another shuts everything else out#both of their faces in the fourth one i don't even want to talk about it#back when they were each other's center#even the emotions in these range from ecstasy to grief and yet grasping hold of one another consistently prevented drowning in it#don't look at me#you should love the person that makes you glad you're alive#the vampire diaries
