I remember a while ago you mentioned to me that “Plans” was your favorite DCfC album so I wanted to do a song from it for you. This song is entirely too high for me to sing, so I played it in a different key, and it’s still too high and you can definitely hear how awkward it is for me to sing but I wanted to have something recorded for you for your birthday, so I hope you forgive the imperfections and awkwardness and enjoy it anyway. <333 love you.

Marissa, this is one of my favorite things you have EVER recorded (selfish bias aside, mwah) - Plans is an album I never ever tire of, and this tends to rotate in my top three favorite songs from it. Your voice and your instrumentation is perfectly suited for it, too. (ugh how do you talent, TEACH ME HOW.) You are amazing in every possible sense, I'm so grateful to have you in my life. You've helped us in ways I can never even properly acknowledge (also, Angel is sending you ALL the puppy snuggles right now). I love you so so much.
