Desperately playing catchup with Risetober by switching to making small doodles instead of full illustrations I originally planned on doing for the challenge. Will come back to day 3 soon.
At this rate, I might have to finish the list post-Halloween

Putting the DISASTER in Disaster Twins. These two totally didn't set the city on fire. Nope. Nuh-uh. Zilch.
We ALL know Leo would go cowboy mode when riding a unicorn.
I know it's only September, but might as well get it out of the way right now instead of leaving it at the last minute. I bring you my prompt list of Risetober 2024!
31 days of spooktacular Risetober prompts, plus 10 alternate prompts to choose from if none of the prompts from the main list are your cup of tea.
You can tag me with @sariphantom or even use the tag #risetober2024 so that I can see them and reblog it here (or retweet on Twitter/X, or add to my stories on Instagram, or even leave some kudos on AO3.
Anyone can participate and have fun. Go nuts with the prompts! Write! Draw! Make silly edits! The possibilities are endless! We need to keep spreading the word and let @nickelodeon know that Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will NEVER die!
So I know September just started, but any chance the October prompt list will be posted early? In light of Inktober being a rather popular event for all artists, is there a chance the rise October prompt list being released early to prepare in advance?
I always love your lists so much and the quality and quantity that you release your own interpretations has always astounded me. Wishing you a great day.
I should be able to upload my 2024 Risetober prompt list sometime this week 👍
Thriller came to my mind with this.
What were some of your favorite Risetober art pieces you did this month? Do you have any favorite Risetober art you've seen from others?
So far, I got a few more prompts for me to finish post-Risetober 2023 and when all the prompts are done (including some extras), I'll reveal what my top 10 favorite Risetober pieces are overall.
For now, here's my favorite 3:
Stars - a redraw of the Life Mission DTIYS drawing I did many months ago and was planning to do it for the Rise Week challenge but never gotten around to do it. It wasn't until I added this prompt to my Risetober list that I knew I wanted to draw something related to Life Mission: Save My Brothers by @daedelweiss, and this is the idea I have in mind. I guess you could say that after many months, there are a lot of improvements in the redrawn version.
Masks - another redraw of a DTIYS drawing I did many months ago. Fun fact; I wasn't planning on ever giving it a redraw, but the original idea I have for the Masks prompt (even made it to the colored stage) wasn't working out so I eventually decided to do a redraw of this instead because fuck it, I SHOULD be giving this challenge my best efforts (even if I end up being behind in the end). Did NOT regret it one bit.
Green (LFLS) - yeah, funny story about this prompt. When I first created my Risetober list and added this prompt to the list, I KNEW I had to draw something LFLS-related. Thankfully I also provided a non-LFLS drawing for Green that's less angsty and wouldn't cause trauma.
And here are my favorite Risetober pieces done by others here (one per prompt, cannot be combined), all under the cut:
And the rest under the cut
Had to skip the prompts I've missed because I was falling way behind on Risetober. Will get back to them after it ends.
Originally, Leo was going to be the vampire, but I've already drawn him a lot for Risetober so... I'm giving this one to Mikey for a change.
Donnie gets to be the first turtle to witness Hypno proposing to Warren... with a stolen diamond ring.
Well it was either that or another LFLS-related drawing. I already made people sad with the Green prompt so… Leo in his Lou Jitsu outfit it is albeit LESS icky this time.
When you put together art challenges, do you generally have an idea of what you'd like to draw as you're making it? Or have you ever had a situation where you have no idea what to do for one of your own prompts?
Usually it’s a mix of both. Yes I do have general ideas on what I like to draw for most of the prompts I added to the list, but other times, either because of the time limit or stuff going on outside of the Internet that takes up most of my time, I do end up in situations where I just have no idea on what to draw for some of the prompts.
A great example of me having a general idea on what to draw for my prompt was the Green prompt. When I first thought of putting it on the list, I KNEW I had to draw something LFLS-related for that prompt (I did eventually make a second picture for the prompt that was less angsty though).

The best example of me not knowing what to draw for my own prompt was the Pizza prompt that took me days to complete. At first, I had an idea to draw something based on the 2012 TMNT episode “Pizza Face”, with either Mikey or Leo or both fighting off against Pizza Face, then I thought of just Raph eating pizza instead, then I thought of Pizza Pigeon, before finally deciding on drawing Casey Jr. eating a slice because I wanted to get better at drawing him and I haven’t used him as much as I should for the challenge.
Future Boy is enjoying his pizza after saving the world from an alien invasion.
Donnie vs. Witchtown came to my mind with this prompt.
NOT a Rise Apritello ship art!
Mikey got his hands on the new Lou Jitsu video game for the Nintendo Switch with much better graphics this time.
First time drawing Lou Jitsu.
Both of them have watched Coraline recently. Those button eyes, man…
First time drawing her that isn't one of Leo's plushies back in August with the Jupiter Jim prompt.
Yep, Raphesses is literally a Disney princess.
I realized that I haven't drawn Raphesses (lover and protector of cats) that much recently, so I'm fixing that with this prompt.
