To-Do List: 10/21/24

I haven't posted a to-do list in a few days because I haven't had much work as of late. Even now, I don't have too much work, but I still want to stay ahead of my assignments.
  • Work on career research paper
  • Brainstorm for argumentative essay
  • History ch. 10 reading and review

To-Do List: 10/16/24

I'm losing my mind. I have my career research paper and it's on English teachers since that's what I wanted to be, but after actually doing the research, I don't really want to do it anymore because of the poor job outlook. Now, I'm thinking I can go into law and be an attorney. Low-key, I feel like I wasted my time with the English professor thing.
The point of the assignment was to help us figure out if this was the career we really wanted to do, and now I'm realizing it's not, so the assignment was helpful, but it's too late to switch careers because the paper is due next month. I guess I can include it in my conclusion that I don't want to pursue teaching anymore.
Anyways, here's the to-do list for today.
  • Work on career research paper
  • Research law schools
  • Prepare for interview with English teacher
  • Start reading history ch. 10
  • Take a 30 minute walk

10/10/24

I didn't accomplish very much today. I was up till midnight last night working, and I barely got any sleep, so today, I was dragging. I did my reading for English, and I had a presentation that I got full points on, thankfully. I also started applying for a scholarship.
  • Wrote for scholarship
  • Did English reading
  • Did presentation in learning frameworks

10-6-24

I finished up some history homework today, and it was very interesting. I really do love history even though the textbook is so dense and takes forever to read. I have officially finished all my assignments for this week, and I am pleased. 😊 I get to relax for the rest of the day, although I might work on my research paper for a bit.

I'm behind on work, guys 😭

I still have to do:

  • History primary source (due 10/6)
  • History ch. 7 review (due 10/6)
  • Work for presentation (due 10/8)
  • Descriptive essay first draft (due 10/7)
  • Speech chapter 6 response (due 10/8)

I know some of the stuff I technically still have time for, but with work, it's hard for me to get it all done in a timely manner. I'm gonna have to really manage my time this weekend.

On a lighter note, I put my two weeks in at my current job! My last day will either be the 20th or some time before then.

I wrote the introduction to my career research paper. Thankfully, the paper is due next month, so I'm just slowly chipping away at it, but this is pretty big progress for me.

It's a lot of fun looking up the statistics and information about my chosen career (English teacher/professor). The job outlook is lower than I hoped, but I believe I'll make it to where I want to be. I just need to work hard to get there.

To-Do List: 8/2/24

Whatever happens on this math exam is up to fate now because I probably didn't study enough. Oh well...
  • Learning Framework ch. 6 assignment
  • Descriptive essay thesis and first paragraph
  • Communication Response Sheet
  • Work on career research paper
  • Math Exam 😞

Happy October!

Today, I actually decided to catch up on some school readings. I unfortunately did not study for my math test because I didn't want to cram, but I hope I do okay on it. I'm not aiming for a 100. Just a C would be fine, lmao.

I was honestly a bit depressed today, but I got some work done nonetheless, and I'm happy about that. I finished the outline for my descriptive essay, and I'm ready to write it.

30 Days of Productivity: Day 9

(9/30)

Had to pop out with The Organic Chemistry Tutor today because I forgot the most basic mathematical concept of finding domain from a function. It's okay. You can point and laugh. I remember how to do it now, though! I hope I pass my math exam on Wednesday because it's been almost an hour of studying.
There's nothing to really list in terms of assignments finished. I'm mostly just doing regular studying since I finished all of my assignments for the week yesterday. I have some more math concepts to go over, but I think I can actually pass my exam on Wednesday if I dedicate a little bit of time to math today and Tuesday.
Wish me luck.

30 Days of Productivity Day 8

(8/30)

So I only did history assignments today
  • Completed history ch. 6 review
  • Completed history primary source analysis
  • Finished Banned Book Club (it was great)
For my history primary source assignment, I read Abigail Adams' iconic letter to John Adams, where she denounced slavery and advocated for women's rights. It was so interesting. I love seeing women in history and how intelligent they were despite many of them not receiving formal schooling. It's so inspiring.

30 days of productivity: Day 7

(7/30)

I had problems with my car today, so a lot of energy was taken up on that, BUT I did do other stuff, too. I had an appointment with an academic advisor to get my major changed and discuss my degree plan. It went really well!
  • Did readings for English
  • Completed media assignment for history
  • Went to academic advising appointment
  • Got my freaking car fixed 😭

30 Days of Productivity

(4/30)

I did some math studying and learned in class how to derive the quadratic formula from the standard formula (that shit might as well be a different language). The derivation is on the left while my regular study notes are on the right.
  • Ordered a new laptop because the old one has bad battery life
  • Did math studying
  • Started my proper outline for my career research paper
