To-Do List: 10/16/24

I'm losing my mind. I have my career research paper and it's on English teachers since that's what I wanted to be, but after actually doing the research, I don't really want to do it anymore because of the poor job outlook. Now, I'm thinking I can go into law and be an attorney. Low-key, I feel like I wasted my time with the English professor thing.
The point of the assignment was to help us figure out if this was the career we really wanted to do, and now I'm realizing it's not, so the assignment was helpful, but it's too late to switch careers because the paper is due next month. I guess I can include it in my conclusion that I don't want to pursue teaching anymore.
Anyways, here's the to-do list for today.
  • Work on career research paper
  • Research law schools
  • Prepare for interview with English teacher
  • Start reading history ch. 10
  • Take a 30 minute walk

10-6-24

I finished up some history homework today, and it was very interesting. I really do love history even though the textbook is so dense and takes forever to read. I have officially finished all my assignments for this week, and I am pleased. 😊 I get to relax for the rest of the day, although I might work on my research paper for a bit.

To-Do List: 8/2/24

Whatever happens on this math exam is up to fate now because I probably didn't study enough. Oh well...
  • Learning Framework ch. 6 assignment
  • Descriptive essay thesis and first paragraph
  • Communication Response Sheet
  • Work on career research paper
  • Math Exam 😞

30 Days of Productivity: Day 9

(9/30)

Had to pop out with The Organic Chemistry Tutor today because I forgot the most basic mathematical concept of finding domain from a function. It's okay. You can point and laugh. I remember how to do it now, though! I hope I pass my math exam on Wednesday because it's been almost an hour of studying.
There's nothing to really list in terms of assignments finished. I'm mostly just doing regular studying since I finished all of my assignments for the week yesterday. I have some more math concepts to go over, but I think I can actually pass my exam on Wednesday if I dedicate a little bit of time to math today and Tuesday.
Wish me luck.

30 days of productivity: Day 7

(7/30)

I had problems with my car today, so a lot of energy was taken up on that, BUT I did do other stuff, too. I had an appointment with an academic advisor to get my major changed and discuss my degree plan. It went really well!
  • Did readings for English
  • Completed media assignment for history
  • Went to academic advising appointment
  • Got my freaking car fixed 😭

30 Days of Productivity

(4/30)

I did some math studying and learned in class how to derive the quadratic formula from the standard formula (that shit might as well be a different language). The derivation is on the left while my regular study notes are on the right.
  • Ordered a new laptop because the old one has bad battery life
  • Did math studying
  • Started my proper outline for my career research paper

30 days of productivity

(3/30)

I did math work today. It's basic algebra 2, but I've forgotten so much of it that I'm not doing as well as I'd like. I've gotten a few 100s and an 88, but on a quiz, I got 75, which is passing, but really disappointing. I'm gonna retake it and see if I can get a higher grade in a few days. All I'm really gonna say though is that I'm glad I'm changing my major to English because I do not like math.
Please enjoy my crappy notes and the data analysis I did on an Excel spreadsheet. I'm dying inside because I've been studying for like an hour, but I haven't learned very much, apparently.

30 Days of Productivity

(1/30)

I'm starting a 30 days of productivity challenge. I know it's usually 100, but that seems very daunting at the moment, so I'm doing something a bit more manageable for myself. It's still the morning so I'm sure I'll get a lot more done but here's what I've accomplished so far.
  • Wrote 250 words for my manuscript
  • Read three chapters of How to Win at College
  • Started preliminary research for my career research paper and did APA formatting for my Word doc

To-Do List: 9/13/24

I managed to finish majority of my assignments for the week early! I guess that's what happens when you actually plan and make to-do lists. Now, I have work after school so I won't be able to do a lot of studying today but I do have a few goals I'd like to accomplish.
  • Start video and questions assignment for learning frameworks
  • Read The Secret History chapter 2
  • Start personal narrative essay (if possible)

To-do list for today

  • Finish chapter three of history textbook
  • Take communication chapter one quiz
  • Read communication chapter two
  • Start video assignment for learning frameworks
  • Brainstorm essay topics for personal narrative
  • Watch the assigned video for english
  • Start chapter one of The Secret History
It feels like a lot when I look at it on paper, but the assignments aren't hard, so I'm sure I'll be fine to finish most, if not all of these things today.

Some of my history lecture notes from today. They look like actual ass because I kept misspelling stuff, but I got most of the key information down. It's hard to stay engaged since I know most of this stuff already, but I'm doing my best, and my teacher is a good lecturer, so it's not too bad.

Also, I don't highlight my notes very much, I just put color for the sake of color sometimes. It's easier to study when it's moderately pleasing to the eye, lol.
