honestly it's fucked up that we as a species don't come with built-in knowledge of what stretches are good to do

I just had a Vision of what if this is what physical education classes taught, instead of, like, nothing. what if they taught you how to debug your body, had a big set of very good stretches and simple little exercises that they drilled into you til it became second nature. how many people would have bodies that hurt them less

This is basically what my physical therapist had me do for my back problems last year and it helped with the pain so much! Also walk for at least thirty minutes a day, even if it's just in small chunks throughout the day.

The shoulder thing really helps my bad back if I get a pain or stiffness. Get my shoulder blades together and I breathe a sigh of relief

I don’t usually comment on posts like this but for over an entire year I suffered majorly from panic disorder experiencing DOZENS of panic attacks a day, to the point where it was a problem for me to leave the house or even my bed! Until one night i was freaking the Fuck Out, i was like! Screw it! I’ll make a run for it! I left the house at like 2am and just walked. Run a little occasionally and get REALLY angry while doing it and the panic would disappear! Instead of giving my head room to panic i’d give myself a goal: just walk around the block twice and THEN see how you feel. And reeaaally focus on that goal. Sometimes it’d take 3 hours to pass and sometimes only 10 minutes, but not once, to this day, has just getting out there and give into the fight or flight response not helped. By taking action you’re tricking your brain into regaining control when you feel out of control during panic/anxiety!

Honestly I’m so sick of seeing rich-girl fitness. Don’t show me pretty vegan smoothies in mason jars held by a girl with perfect makeup, a manicure, and a color-coordinated running outfit. Show me diets and workouts that I can manage when I’m working 13 hours days and living on a budget. Show me how to eat healthy when I have 5 minutes for lunch. Show me small things I can do to help my body. Show me workout plans that I can do outside of a gym when I can’t afford a membership. I don’t have time. I don’t have money. Half the time I don’t have the motivation to get up in the morning. But I have a body. I want to be healthy.

What makes you think that this person is just starting? 

Why can’t a larger body be seen as inspirational without implying that they’re a beginner, just starting out, or are trying to change themselves?

Also it’s creepy, dehumanizing and objectifying to post a fat woman’s body with her head cropped out to use as your fitspo.
