This one will ✨BREAK YOUR HEART✨🩷

The Good Omens x Casablanca crossover NO ONE needed (but I did, because I'm an hopeless romantic)🥹✨ 1941 version!!

Don't be mad at me, I love them. But I also love angst. So here it is✨ They'll always have Paris😭 (what an epic ineffable divorce though✨)

notes: it's my first time drawing them "black and white/noir version", I feel so excited!

Bonus: close-ups! (without lines)

The People's CDC has put together a guide to help fight mask bans, alongside a call to action:

Politicians across the US – from North Carolina, to New York State to Chicago – are pushing for mask bans. We all have a responsibility to fight this attack on our rights, our bodily autonomy, our privacy and our health. If you stopped masking, now is a good time to reengage with this practice in public spaces, and particularly in political gatherings.  If you are organizing an event, please require and distribute high quality masks as visible expressions of solidarity.

Please note that the CovidSafeCosplay blog and its admin are unaffiliated with the People's CDC or its management, and are simply sharing the resource.

hey gang, the cdc wants to do away with the (already more than inadequate) 5 day isolation period for covid

HERE'S WHAT YOU CAN DO!!! BLOW UP THEIR FUCKING LINE!! YEA THEY HAVE PUBLIC COMMENTS OPEN!!! BLOW UP THEIR INBOX!!!

if you think the cdc gives a shit about actually controlling and preventing disease, you havent been paying attention. knowing how covid is also a class issue, with most low income families and workers not having enough sick leave to afford getting sick in the first place, this is disgusting.

basic info: people should be isolating until they have gotten (ideally) 2 negative rapid/home tests. masking is also essential, as even after clearing the acute phase, you're still primed for rsv, flu, and even other covid variants. wastewater covid levels in the us are still staggeringly high, with biobot still being one of the only reliable sources to tracking surges left.

the cdc has said before that repeated covid infections increase your risk of long covid. long covid is debilitating. long covid is keeping millions out of work, and according to a recently released us census home pulse, oklahoma leads with a horrific 34% of adults reportedly suffering from long covid.

if the cdc can admit that your risk of long covid increases with each infection, then why the FUCK are they spewing this bullshit about "immunity" and reducing the isolation period to just "whenever you feel like it man." if you can keep getting covid even with multiple vaccinations and infections, you are not immune.

you can still get 4 free tests delivered to your home . save these for when you are sick. consider delaying your first test to about 3-5 days, and wear a kn95 or better in public.

we need improved vaccines, clean indoor air, and paid sick leave for all right the fuck now. please consider masking if you do not or have not been for a while, its never too late to start

I am the only employee in my firm who must work from the office. This is because somebody has to handle all the physical mail that goes in and out, and that somebody is me.

Literally everyone else in the office has the option of working from home. Even the people who work in the same city as the head office. I have colleagues that I've worked with for nearly 3 years and I've never met. Some people try to work in the office quite frequently because it helps their concentration, or there home life isn't conducive to having a workspace. Some of the upper management come at least once every week or two just to make paying rent on this ridiculously large space worthwhile, I assume.

But I must stress that no one is compelled to come to our office if they don't need to.

Last week the big boss flew in from Florida and dropped by for 45 minutes for reasons. He went into one of the upper management's office, they had a conversation, and then he left. I have no idea why he came. I don't particularly like it when he visits us because he's a bit of an anti-vaxer freedom convoy Republican nut. Super nice guy, but our politics do not align.

But after he leaves, my colleague who was locked in the room with him for nearly an hour, gets the sniffles. Says it's just allergies, just a cold it's nothing, etc. Ask him if he tested for covid, he says yes and it's negative. He spends next couple days not feeling very well and I avoid him because even if it's not covid I don't want to get sick.

Today he comes into work and he's just wretched. Ask why he's not at a home in bed, he's clearly very sick and even if it's not covid he shouldn't be at the office. He tells me he's actually not sure it's not covid.

Maskless, he goes down to the pharmacy, picks up a testing kit, goes back into his office and closes the door. Half an hour later he tells me to avoid him today and not to open his door.

Bro!!

My dude!!!

I am still working the same office, breathing the same recycled air as you! I asked when he was heading home so I could help reschedule some of his meetings and he said he's not!

So I guess I'm just supposed to sit at the desk outside of his door in my mask and pray?

The thing about all of this is if I get covid and I can't come into work for a week, this place will explode. They literally cannot do without me for a week.

Of course I don't want to get sick. Luckily I've had five vaccinations. But you're literally endangering the operations of your firm. We are currently in the "fuck around" phase of things...

WTF, boss. Go home!!

wow, that's the "if denial isn't working, just use more of it" mind set. they deserve to miss you for a week. take a week off even if you're not sick, just so you don't catch it!! quarantine yourself if he won't. after all, you were clearly exposed, so it's the responsible thing to do. yikes.

i still mask because the only thing i would hate more than getting sick, would be knowing i gave it to someone else.

SHERLOCK: As I think I have explained to you many times before, romantic entanglement, while fulfilling for other people … JOHN: … would complete you as a human being.

TLD

So it seems Sherlock is still incomplete. Just saying.

There are a LOT of things which tell me the show isn’t over/s4 isn’t meant to be taken at face value blah blah blah, but this one god damn line is the biggest thing keeping me afloat. It was like Moffat’s way of indirectly saying to the audience, “Hey, here’s what will be the conclusion of our show. It hasn’t happened yet!”

Exactly! And also the fact that this is the same wording Sherlock has already used in his TAB mind palace. In the one episode that completely happens in his head.

And also the thing that it is John who “completes” Sherlock’s statement…. John is the one who wants to fill Sherlock in and complete him… just saying…

OK, that works for me! :)
