The Slipstream books have arrived.

I’ve already packed the first batch of preorders (Germany) and put them in the post. The international ones will follow shortly. If you haven’t ordered your copy yet, you can do so following the link below (only 40 copies have been printed). The story will remain available on AO3, of course. I’ve updated all chapters there and replaced them with their recently edited versions.

I’ve started layouting and typesetting the book version of my Tour de France AU Slipstream. The book will have over 500 pages (roughly the same as my Enigma book).

Please let me know if you’re interested in a copy so that I can better calculate the print run. The price will (sadly) be between 30 and 40 US$ because printing costs have risen so much. I won’t be making any profit from these books. The larger the print run, the cheaper the individual books will be.

Slipstream book cover reveal, yay!

I’ve finished typesetting the book. It will be hardcover again and have 552 pages (twelve more than my Enigma book). The files will go to the printers tomorrow. The print run will be forty copies, which will cost 39 US$ each (sorry about that, but it’s the cheapest I can go; I’ll still make a loss because I’ll be giving away some copies, too). I’ll put up a preorder link in my shop tomorrow, so watch this space.

Books by khorazir: Current stocklist and future plans

I went through my stocks recently and discovered that of several of my books, only a few copies are left. Since it’s unlikely that I’ll have them reprinted, here’s the list and link to my shop (Free Shipping will remain on throughout December, too): https://khorazir.storenvy.com/collections/1230390-artbooks

Enigma: 8 copies

The Horse and his Doctor: plenty (30+ copies)

42 Days of Domestic Johnlock: 10

30 Days of Johnlock: 2

The Highwayman: 5

Sherlock after the Fall: 9

Let’s Draw Sherlock: 20

Sherlock Postcard Book 2: 10

TFL Sherlock Postcard Book 1: 3

TFL Sherlock Postcard Book 2: 2

Letters Live Drawings: 18

There are also three different Tolkien Postcard Books and one inspired by Cabin Pressure, all of which have plenty of copies left.

The same goes for the illustrated Beowulf and the Dragon, which contains the dragon episode of the poem in both the original Old English and a verse translation into modern English, as well as my illustrations – and a foreword by eminent Tolkien scholar Tom Shippey :).

Coming up, there will be a book version of Slipstream early in the new year. I also plan to make a book (similar to the Let’s Draw Sherlock one) containing all my art and ficlets for the @sherlockchallenge

Enigma is down to six copies now. So if you’d like to own a copy, better not wait too long as it’s unlikely that there will be a reprint. Shipping is still free at my shop and will remain to until 29th January.

Had the great pleasure to be interviewed by Dr Sara Brown @AranelParmadil about Tolkien, illustration, Beowulf and a tiny bit of Sherlock for the Tolkien Experience Podcast. Below are the two watercolours I talk about. Both are from my Lay of Leithian series. The other pics show my illustrated book Beowulf and the Dragon.

It’s #WorldBookDay, and here are some of the books I created in recent years:

Beowulf and the Dragon

Sherlock after the Fall

30 Days of Johnlock

The Highwayman

Let’s Draw Sherlock

42 Days of Domestic Johnlock

Enigma

The Horse and his Doctor

The Little Book of Big Mountains

Letters Live Drawings

I love illustrating and indeed making books (layout, typesetting and everything). Here’s hoping to many more. Most of the above apart from the Letters Live one and The Little Book of Big Mountains are available at my storenvy.

The book version of my Horselock AU fanfic The Horse and His Doctor is up for preorder at my storenvy.

This book contains the story with all its original coloured pencil illustrations (at least one per chapter) and a new cover illustration. 240 pages, full colour throughout, size 24 x 17 cm, hardcover. Limited to 100 copies.

The preorder price is 22,18 US$. 5,00 US$ of every copy sold will be donated to WWF Australia to help with reforestation, animal care and climate protection after the devastating bushfires.

I will give away one copy of this book. To enter this giveaway, reblog (or retweet) this post and state why you’d like to have a copy. The giveaway runs until 29th of January.

The books are at the printers now and should be finished in nine to ten working days. Thanks a lot to those who’ve preordered already.

Signal boost.

Yay, the Enigma proofs have arrived and they look good. Printing is go. I’ll leave preorders up until I’ve received the actual copies, which I expect to start shipping in about two weeks. Afterwards, the price of the remaining books will rise slightly.

Cover illustration and binding design as well as interior sample spreads of the book version of my WW2/Codebreaker AU Enigma.

The book contains both Enigma and Silent Night with all their original illustrations (at least one per chapter), as well as some information about my sources and research. 540 pages, full colour throughout, size 24 x 17 cm, hardcover.

The book is up for preorder now at my storenvy. Preorders will run until the beginning of April, after which the book will be printed. There will be some copies available for those who didn’t preorder, but I need some estimate how many copies to print, hence the preorders. If you’d like a copy, but can’t afford one now, please let me know. There will also be a giveaway at some point.

I may have the thing printed earlier than April, mostly because I can’t wait to lay my hands on actual books :)

But it’s difficult to decide on the exact number of copies. The plan so far has been 100 (that’s what the price is calculated for, anyway), about 20 of which are already spoken for. The number might go up if there was a sudden, huge demand, which, however, I don’t expect judging from the number of preorders so far.

Some more sample spreads of my upcoming Enigma book for #worldbookday2019.

It’s going to have 540 pages. So far, I’m aiming at having around 100 copies printed, unless there’s more demand. As soon as I’ve designed the cover, I’ll put the book up at my storenvy for preorder. The price will be something between 20 and 25 US$. Of course, the more people order, the cheaper the individual books will be.

I’m still debating whether to have hard- or softcover books printed. Hardcover would be about two Euros more expensive per copy (around 3 US$). Do you folks have a preference?
