I went through my stocks recently and discovered that of several of my books, only a few copies are left. The same goes for the illustrated Beowulf and the Dragon, which contains the dragon episode of the poem in both the original Old English and a verse translation into modern English, as well as my illustrations – and a foreword by eminent Tolkien scholar Tom Shippey :).

Coming up, there will be a book version of Slipstream early in the new year. I also plan to make a book (similar to the Let’s Draw Sherlock one) containing all my art and ficlets for the @sherlockchallenge

I’ve tentatively opened orders from the US again. Shipping across the pond may still take longer than usual, but hopefully not the three months+ as it did for those orders I sent in November/December last year and which have only recently started to arrive at their destinations.

Had the great pleasure to be interviewed by Dr Sara Brown @AranelParmadil about Tolkien, illustration, Beowulf and a tiny bit of Sherlock for the Tolkien Experience Podcast. Below are the two watercolours I talk about. Both are from my Lay of Leithian series. The other pics show my illustrated book Beowulf and the Dragon.
