I’ve only seen the first episode of the new season, but Maria already pissed me off

Like girl hung up on Cecelia and didn’t even let Rhett know his mom was calling. Then propositioned the man with a DISLOCATED SHOULDER to have shower sex. And when he went to go get her food, took all of it…

Like I might be complaining and I’m just biased and looking deep to find reasons to not like her. But girl… don’t do that to my cowboy 😅

yes! her not telling him his mom was calling made me so mad. like babes he has a right to at least know. but she knew that he would change his mind about leaving if he answered so she didn’t tell him.

and you’re so right! like he’s literally broken and battered and she thinks shower sex is a good idea. this man is going to slip and dislocate the other shoulder while he’s in there with you girl, lmao

her character is so unlikable and it’s really unfortunate. if they had written their relationship in a more believable way then i wouldn’t have much of a problem with her. i feel like it would have worked better if they were already in an established relationship when the show aired, rather than forcing them together this way. but alas. this is why we can’t have nice things

Like I get it—to a point. But Rhett’s loyalty to his family is such a deep seeded part of his character. And it’s quite literally the reason she rejected him when he showed up at her door. So yeah she’s not gonna tell him his mom is calling.

But the fact she’s worried about that kinda tells me she knows that Rhett might not be all in with her yet.

And like I love a girl with a strong sense and that knows what she wants. Doesn’t back down from a man. But Maria comes off like mean girl. “I’m done talking for the night” <- girl what? Like yes you know what you want but damn, Rhett’s more than a pretty face with a nice dick. You’re taking advantage of his feelings for you.

We can’t have nice things because the writers are rushing things it feels. But tis why we have fanfiction

This time, you were there as a date and you weren't going to pass up on having fun. Rhett wasn't much of a dancer, but you weren't going to let that slide. "You're dancing, because this is a dance." "I don't dance darlin'." "You said I was different than you're hook ups. You don't dance with your hook ups. So get up and spin me around to show these girls that you're serious about me."

all i want for christmas is you... in matching pjs, put these on
Rhett's pjs normally consist of... well, his boxers and occasionally nothing at all. But it get's cold in Wyoming in the winter, so then his go to is normally a pair of sweats and his favorite hoodie. And then of course you wrapped up in his arms. So, as Christmas drew closer, you approached him with a pair of pj pants and two shirts in hand. "What's this?" "Matching pjs, we're wearing them Christmas morning." He was confused, of course, and asked you why. Rhett was obviously hesitant but it looked really important to you and you told him that you would never put him in a matching onesie - which is what you just had the pants and the shirts. He smiled and relucted, not being able to resist your pleading eyes and smile. And then his heart fluttered at the giggle of excitement when he agreed. You figured it would be a one off thing for that year, and you were happy with that. But when he came up to you the next Christmas asking if you could do it again, you couldn't stop the racing of your heart that he remembered how much it meant to you. Then it kept going, every year same pjs on Christmas for the both of you. And once you had kids... oh boy...
