AO3 had a major spam bot issue last year and I'm taking precautions. Don't worry, I approve every comment regardless of it's contents. It's mostly just as a filter, as long as it's not a bot, it gets through. Even dislike comments, I don't mind.

It's recommended comments are only filtered to registered accounts, but I understand if not everyone has an account, or has a desire to make one. So moderation seems to be a safe bet. I'll likely be making this change soon, so keep that in mind.

On that note, it means I see and read every comment I approve. I enjoy reading them a lot and I'm sorry if I don't respond to them from time to time. I appreciate it, truly, thank you all so much for the comments. It really makes my day and motivates me to write. Thank you again.

I'm linking the post that got the ball rolling for this concept since the AU was very much a joint effort XD

But I believe Dragon!Kinich, in all ways of being an inverse/opposite of Ajaw's form, he'd look like a Chinese ink/oil painting and take on the form of an eastern dragon. So definitely lanky, definitely snake like, but also mythical and whispy in comparison to Ajaw's large pixelated clunkiness. To quote @storybenderstudios, he would be similar to Mushu from Mulan XD just more whispy and ink like, like what you'd see in an old Chinese ink painting.

In short for my quickest visualization, he would look like a baby Apep, based on the silhouette we saw in Nahida's second story quest. Just with more Liyue like aspects in terms of Teyvat's world.

Another poll because why not? I feel like 5.2 is going to give me a lot of ideas in regards to this series of Kinich, Ororon, and Ifa being a surprise friend group. Additionally, Chasca will be making regular appearances as an honorary member of this trio to turn it into a quartet at points XD 

This isn’t a select single, but another “determine order” like the fatui poll. Whichever gets the most votes is the fic with writing priority and order is determined as follows. And yes, I give no further context than the titles XD However, the next installment of this series will be “Saurian Wranglers” since I teased it awhile ago and I want to work on it again. Don’t worry, my writing schedule is trying to sort itself out. I want to get Unique Specimen and maybe Injured Bird done before the year ends, so we’ll see. 

I honestly planned on doing a fic for Kinich’s birthday, but irl priorities as well as other fics ended up taking over and I unfortunately don’t have time to write it in time for his birthday. I will likely write it later and just post it up maybe in December or something…

Random note from the 5.2 Livestream. The Flower Feather Clan is known to be home to warriors that traditionally patrolled the entirety of Natlan in days past. That role still seems somewhat active in present time. 

You must be an excellent archer and gain the trust and the approval of qucusaurs in order to befriend them. 

Ifa, the sauro-vet, is implied to be able to fly in Kachina's voice line about him. 

So, that means not only is he a vet, but an experienced archer as well. For all we know, Ifa’s closeness with Ororon might be the reason why Ororon uses a bow in the first place XD  

I swear I’ll probably be saving my primos for Ifa after Mavuika depending on when he releases. I need him alongside Ororon and while the team synergy will literally be nonexistent, it’ll be fun to have them with Kinich. Random attacks go brrrr….

Well… with my latest fic posted, I have officially written and released over 100k words of Kinich focused fanfiction. Within a two months window. I never expected this to happen nor did I expect this character to take over my life as it did. 

So, small milestone in my opinion, thank you for all the support and I'm glad you all enjoyed the stories. I have more planned and I really hope this love for Kinich doesn't fade away too quickly. Someone made a TV Tropes Page for "Injured Bird" and I cannot express how much I love it. I don't know 90% of the tropes referenced in the story, but I love that certain scenes fall under those categories XD

This was incredibly detailed and whoever made this, thank you so much, I am very flattered and honored, and I loved reading it.

The concept infects and haunts all.... And this makes so much more sense than I ever thought it might've.

Now I'm getting ideas if Kinich does technically die and the contract is fulfilled and Ajaw whilst grieving actually ends up accidentally finding that Kinich's soul is... dormant inside the bracelet that he used to be encased in and uh, basically freaks out??

Also just realized this also might fit in with how Kinich manages to survive a lot (much to Ajaw's annoyance) like falling head first down a cliff and living? I mean, Ajaw is probably, 100%, exaggerating. But if he's NOT.... Uh... The idea of Kinich's soul being outright detached and his body won't register death like a normal person also technically would fit.

That's about all I got so far, because I don't have an explanation for the others but now they won't leave my mind either 😵‍💫

But, they would probably be able to share dreamscapes at the very least I would think.

I will admit, the results are both unsurprising and very surprising XD

I wasn't surprised that "Kinich getting kidnapped to strongarm against Mavuika" won since the concept by itself is just such a tasty one.

But the second most voted option was "Kinich getting kidnapped by the Abyss Order Sibling"!

Which honestly, is a little surprising. I was expecting Enjou to at least take second place considering the love for their dynamic, but I'm curious about what the abyss sibling could be planning if they decided to nab Kinich. Also, would Aether or Lumine be more fun as the Abyss sibling in this plot? I usually default to Lumine as the traveler, so my take would likely place Aether as the abyss sibling, but what you think?

Also, due to my already chaotic writing schedule and backlog of projects. I definitely won't be hopping on the Mavuika plot anytime soon, BUT I actually do have a start on it with a general premise. It's largely Mavuika centric, so I actually plan on releasing it sometime around Mavuika's official release. Similar to what I did with "Contracts" during Kinich's release.

As always all the plot concepts mentioned in the polls are free range for everyone to use! I want to read these myself so I'm all up for someone taking an idea and running with it! Just... please let me know if it does get written, there is a severe lack of "Kidnapped Kinich" fics.

My brain is rattling off on ideas for WHAT exactly the contract between Kinich and Ajaw did to Kinich's body so the whole concept of "gain control after death" is more viable. There is so much we don't know so I'm just taking it as free real estate to shove in my own ideas.

As I finished up my giant expo dump from Dottore's POV in Unique Specimen... I had another idea relating to it.

What if Kinich's body modification was done in a similar manner to Magical Girls from "Puella Magi Madoka Magica"? To those who don't know what I'm talking about, when someone becomes a magical girl in that series, their soul is physically removed from their body and placed inside a Soul Gem. When the body sustains damage, the soul isn't harmed and they can keep on fighting, using magic afterwards to repair physical wounds to the body. Even noted later on, that with enough training, they can start to ignore and shut out the pain of their injuries.

What if a similar concept was done to Kinich? Since Ajaw is locked away in a bracelet, that could act as a sort of "Soul Gem" in comparison. And the main point I'm going with this is, what if Kinich's soul was disconnected from his body? That's a reason why Ajaw will be able to possess him, because the body isn't reliant on a soul to signal "life" anymore. The body remains active and dormant until a soul manages to take control, the body remains alive, and such a method of regeneration would allow Ajaw to control Kinich's body even after Kinich died and his body is still sustaining heavy injuries.

This also fits in well with what happened in his Vision story, since we don't know if visions are sentient or not. Visions as far as we know DON'T contain anything like a soul of their own, so that makes sense as to why it was able to control Kinich's body, but it was still in a dormant "death" state.

His soul being disconnected would also help explain why he ended up having a memory gap.

Am I making sense? I don't know if I am and I feel more and more like a literal mad scientist the more I talk about this.
