I don’t know why I’m so intent on making everyone sad with my videos but yeah….HERE’S MORE TEARS. A video about Mako not moving on from Korra and Asami and just….yesssss.

Sometimes it’s like she’s a stranger to us. Just the Avatar.

But she’ll always be our daughter. And she’ll always be welcome home.

LETS BE CLEAR

bolin IS comedic relief

BUT

he also has a purpose in the show as something way more

it is possible for those two things to co-exist

for example: Sokka

Cause who doesn’t love Sokka??!! <3

Okay, I'm gonna have to stop you right there. Bolin, so far, does NOT have an actual purpose in the show. Sure, he's Mako's brother and one of Korra's closest friends, but other than that...what do we really KNOW about Bolin? He's an Earthbender, he's (supposedly) popular with the ladies, and he's very slow on the uptake. But other than those things, I don't feel like I know Bolin at all. Sure, it's only been one season/one episode of the second season, I'll give him that. But if we're really going to compare Sokka to Bolin, let me just put out there that by the end of Season 1 of the original series, Sokka was already visibly altered, much less immature, and we knew him to a much larger degree than we do Bolin. As for the role of comic relief....Sokka actually had something OTHER than comic relief. They gave him a separate purpose, they made him have hopes and fears and desires and they SHOWED that to the audience, rather than forcing us to assume that he has them somewhere behind the comic relief (like we've been forced to do with Bolin).  Sure, Sokka started out as pure comic relief, but by the end, we loved Sokka because he WASN'T just comic relief, not anymore at least. We had seen his insecurities and his strengths, we had walked with him through all of his flaws and seen him deal with them. His lack of respect for women, his need to control everything all the time, his insecurity in being the only non-bender of the legendary Avatar group...they were all addressed and it was beautiful.  Bolin started out as a somewhat interesting character, someone we really could have grown with and started to unfold as a character. But by the end of LoK Season 1, Bolin had digressed to this useless character that was around purely for comedic means, and as a "cute" character for fangirls to faun over.  Sokka started out as comedic relief, pure and simple, with jarring flaws but with enough hilarious charm for the fans to still like having him around. But throughout Season 1 (and the other seasons, obviously, but I'm just working with Season 1 here) we got to know him as a person, we saw him being a leader and fighting with his sister, showing us (the audience) a bit more about their dynamic and their willingness to put aside differences. We got to see Sokka work through his sexism, we got to see him fall in love and put his life on the line, we got to see him deal with loss. Even by the end of Season 1, Sokka became this multi-dimensional character that we love because of his times of seriousness AS WELL as his hilarious moments.  I really don't think that you can seriously compare Bolin to Sokka. They share similar expressions, I suppose, but in terms of character and their contribution to the plot?  Please. Don't make me laugh.

well, actually, I still don’t think she’s evil. I just wanted to draw her as Equalist because their outfits are quite cool and I like the general idea of it.

Also that ‘fact’ Sato’s factory seemed to make those weapons for Amon is quite.. well, I like it. Non of Sato’s family look evil or bad in any way, so I sort of have a theory they may help Amon against their will. Not sure why exactly… like, Asami is one of the Equalists because Amon is threatening her father, and mister Sato help Amon because he’s threatening his daughter.

Or, she is willingly helping Amon, but in the end, I guess she will actually fell for Mako, and turn her face to good.

well, forget about all hat, I just wanted to draw Asami as Equalist and I think I want Mako to struggle because of it for a big mvahahaa
