Spells for summoning the sleep fairy... I have another question for you wise souls! Linked to my recent posts about heartbreak healing, but also a bit more of a general one. What are your top tips for chasing down the elusive sleep fairy, especially when things are tough emotionally? My magic weapons have been switching to decaf tea, making super long and soothing playlists to have on in the background, reading nice books and eating bananas... I'd love to know yours and to share them with other sleep deprived folk :)

🐶☠️Doggy danger! We had a horrible emergency trip to the vet last week after our dog stole and ate an entire packet of hot cross buns! Like chocolate, raisins and grapes can be poisonous to dogs. So we went to the vet with a waggly tailed dog who was given an injection to make him vomit. It took about 3 minutes - the tail stopped wagging, his legs went wobbly and he felt very sorry for himself even after everything had left his system. It could have been MUCH worse and he is fine now. Please share: Easter is another time of year to keep an eye on what our furry friends get up to! Today was my first official day back at work after maternity leave, and it felt really lovely 😊

⭐️resist⭐️ 2017 on the micro scale has been overtaken by that pesky sleep deprivation fairy. She makes it hard to focus on other fairies, the bigger picture or anything other than getting through the day. On the macro scale tho, 2017 seems to need a lot of this. Resistance. Protest. Challenge. So I'm pondering what I can do to help #bethechange. ⭐️magical snapshot fairy⭐️ I was sitting in the car in the drive waiting for the baby to wake up when I spotted this really lovely branch with illuminated leaves catching the setting sun behind them. I grabbed my sketchbook but couldn't do them justice. But later I realised this fairy was dancing around them, and he dances around all sorts of small beautiful moments during our days, catching our attention and encouraging us to notice. Sometimes this can be at the strangest of moments, when we are busy or bored, or even when we are unbelievably sad or stressed or struggling. He sparkles in the corner of our vision and helps us capture a snapshot of loveliness.
