Honestly making the Lucanis romance be a tense yearning situationship up until he's sure he didn't get you killed is amazing. The man opts to say something like "if I have to kill every blighted creature in thedas to keep you safe, I will" before you've had your first kiss. He will make you a dessert and get you your favorite drink that you mentioned like a month ago. He will tell other companions that your presence makes him happy, he will write in his diary that an hour with you is an hour gained and more clear than any other. He admits to others that you're good for him, as they make remarks about how much he has been smiling lately. The whole Lighthouse believes that you two are officially together.
But approaching you and telling you how he feels? Nah. The man turned yearning into an artform. Until he almost loses you. Hell, I don't think that he visits you after Fade Jail to confess but it just overtakes him. Aaaaaaaa
