For this map we decided to display the relief in two variants: one with elevation only and one with bathymetry added.
This map was realized in 1888 and with the digital restoration we tried to find the original coloration.
The ancient inscription reads:
"Carta altimetrica e batometrica dell'Italia, costrutta e disegnata da Guido Cora, pubblicata sotto gli auspici del ministero d'agricoltura, industria e commercio dall'Istituto Geografico Guido Cora, 1888."

We realised there were plenty of maps on Spain, Portugal and more specific places in those states, but we realised there was one big absentee: a map covering the entire Iberian peninsula, so here it is.
This map was prepared by J. Bartholomew and published in The Times Atlas of the World. Mid-Century Edition by Houghton Mifflin Co. in 1956.
We are back representing Italy, at least for this time. This is a topographic map of Lombardy from 1935.
The original was divided into no less than two parts, and after digitally stitching it back together, here is another piece that tells of the mountains of Lombardy silhouetted against the Po Valley.
We will soon produce a map in the same series on Piedmont, another fascinating region that deserves a topographic map of its own!
New York City.
We realized this custom print last year, but never published it.
The original map was a 50's map made by USGS.

Perhaps the more observant will remember this map of the soil of Cyprus.
We decided to rework it by removing the bathymetric information. This version has reduced saturation and allows for good readability of the labels.
This map is the result of a commission, a request from an association working in Africa and looking for one of our communication cards. The image you see is the geological map of the continent, which in some way represents it in its essence: a collection of people, cultures, languages that resist at the expense of others, sustained by their own deep roots.

Third map of the series dedicated to Scotland. Inverness! Map was published by John Bartholomew & Son in the Survey Atlas of Scotland in 1912, like all maps devoted to Scotland (for Wales and England gonna change). Are we already mapped an area you love or is it still missing? Credits to NLS (Reproduced with the permission of the National Library of Scotland).
