An Eggman Special A handgun equipped by Egg Pawns, it is large but has moderate power and no rapid-fire capability. The circular bullet cartridges are apparently the result of Eggman's obsession with round things.
The description for the Egg Gun in Shadow the Hedgehog Saikyou Kouryaku Guide, a Japanese strategy guide for Shadow the Hedgehog (2005), notes that its circular projectiles are a result of Dr. Eggman's obsession over incorporating roundness into his designs.

Black Doom reveals his true form for the decisive battle against Shadow. From the lower body, which continuously undergoes a seemingly endless fission process, small life forms called "cells" are produced that attack anything that comes near them. However, even this monstrous, colossal form is merely a vessel for generating energy. Doom's Eye is the true puppeteer of this body.

The Chaos Emeralds amplify the ability of Chaos Control (to the point where all 7 together can warp an entire comet, as seen in Shadow the Hedgehog (2005)), however the actual ability itself seems to be tied to a positive mindset and "behavior".
This is consistent with the several instances of Chaos Control observed in the series that did not rely on the power of a Chaos Emerald.

The main antagonist of Shadow the Hedgehog (2005), Black Doom, does not know what thunderstorms are. In the Dark Mission of the stage Sky Troops, Black Doom asks Shadow about the lightning in the clouds, assuming it is a weapon of Dr. Eggman's air fleet. This is because his race, the Black Arms, live within the Black Comet which has no atmosphere capable of generating thunderstorms.

Born on the Space Colony ARK, she and Shadow were raised on the colony together like siblings. Because of the debilitating condition she had since birth, she was unable to leave the colony's medial facilities (laboratories) and held a deep fascination and longing for the stars she could see from its windows.
Maria Robotnik had a strong fascination with the mythology surrounding and possibly the science of stars.
