The Cycle of Birth, Death and Rebirth. ㅤ The principles of eight are linked to the idea of the octave - which is periodic renewal, self-renewal, unlimited growth and "the same, but different". ㅤ All of this refers to the principle of the octave - that is, the eighth step is the same as the first, but at a higher level. ㅤ The perfect example of this is seen in the music. There are seven notes on the diatonic scale (the white keys of the piano). The eighth note is the same as the first, but on a higher octave - a higher level. ㅤ Implicit in this principle is the presence of unlimited growth of spiral octaves - octaves within octaves within octaves ... to infinity - the eternal process of transformation. ㅤ "I am One who becomes Two, I am Two that becomes Four, I am the Four that becomes Eight. After that, I am One again. " ㅤ ~ [Egyptian creation myth]

Similarly, other languages continue to defy modern attempts to decipher the contents of their written glyphs. One mysterious example comes from Easter Island and is called Rongorongo script. Archaeologists and expert linguists have examined ancient Rongorongo tablets, but have not been able to decipher them.
