why is mao mao so good?

I feel like people didn’t see I was responding to this post to basically agree with it, and that I wasn’t randomly trolling someone. The tag that said “showing friendships like this is important” was nice, and I wanted to say, “Yup, that’s the intent.” while also not stepping on any toes.

Ship what you like, but the intent is to show a positive, affectionate male friendship without fear or reservation. Something that was only mocked when I was a kid. Not only in media, but in my actual life. We don’t have them refer to each other as friends as a denial or cop-out, it’s what they are to each other. Like Ann and Leslie on Parks and Rec. A thing I’ve never really seen with male characters, and thought was overdue.

I drew him before realising his tuft was his chest hair and not an extension of his mane lol
