I tried my hand with painting recently. I'm struggling a bit, but I wanted to make something new for an exhibition this year, and what could be a better reference than our two lovers?

I love that Ed never harms Stede. I love that this man who has been steeped in violence since he was child, who has had to form himself out of violence, never once deliberately harms the man he loves, even as others expect him to. He treats Stede with such gentleness and tenderness, always, and heals a part of himself in the process.
