I knew what you meant Moon, I just wanted to make the joke about racist being misspelled. Because god that fanfic is terrible. And I love it.

Ah right, to be honest I haven’t actually read much of it, and when I did that was probably a decade ago or when word of it going around was new. I have a pretty good memory but I try to keep my exposure to brain-rotting material to a stricter minimum than I used to.~ Moon

Nah, op of that white people should die post can't be Ebony Dark'ness Dementia Raven Way. She was white. And as she herself said, not a rasist.

I was going to add “a racebent version of” to my statement, but it didn’t have quite the same kick to it, y’know?~ Moon

I'm American but the sterling pound apparently lost almost all value and is close to being worthless against the usd. It took a nosedive in japan too.

I overslept today but as someone living in the UK who voted “Remain,” it’s a pretty depressing day. I can’t say I know a lot about economics but here’s an article: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-36611512It’s bad. This all feels like we’re going down a bad route in a videogame, and I wish we could turn back.~ Moon

I just saw Naoko Takeuchi's quote “If we girls aren’t strong, how can we protect the boys that we love?" and I want that quote as a giant poster. Do you guys and girls feel the same?

Of course! :-D  We all need to do our best and support each other. Isn’t that part of what being a person is?~Moon(Also I wouldn’t mind a poster of that either, but it would have to be in a REALLY nice font, and I have no experience with typography aside from kind of knowing what I think looks good)

A theory out there is that it could be based off of Spain!

The hotel shown amongst the concept art has an uncanny resemblance to one in Singapore, so a lot of people believe Sun & Moon’s region will be based off of southeast Asia. On the other hand, that’s only one area. Kalos had Kiloude City and only that area was tropical, and Hoenn, while based off Japan, had the Greek-inspired Sootopolis. It’s still too soon to say!~Moon

it's /pol/ on 4chan. it's obviously just shit-stirring.

Yeah, I mean it probably is.

But I think my point still stands. And people DO get fired for their beliefs in my country, unfortunately. And whether or not I agree with a person, as long as their beliefs aren’t hateful, and they aren’t losing profits due to it, I don’t think it should cost someone their job.

Why are you reblogging meninist and anti-feminist shit onto my dashboard? I thought you were supposed to be about social justice? Anyways I'm unfollowing your shitty blog.

Because the social justice community brought it up, I saw it on my dash, and decided it was worth sharing? Because sometimes anti-feminists have valid points and even if you’re a feminist, you should listen for the sake of self-improvement and improving your movement?

Apparently we’re not social justice anymore because we talk about feminism in a way anon doesn’t like. First I’ve heard of this.

As for you unfollowing...

"if it werent for straight people you wouldnt even exist" there are trans and intersex people you know

Anon the meaning there was lost on you. Many of the people on this site are the result of sexual intercourse. LGBT need either egg or sperm donors. Or Adoption, there was no attack on anyone. It was stop bashing on others for ‘edgy’

Ouch! wrong answer....if a Japanese person is telling you it offends them when a non-Japanese person wears a traditional clothing you should listen to them and not think there isn't any harm. I'm not Japanese, but if someone wants to wear my traditional pieces just for fun like Halloween or doing yellow face I would be pissed myself. Shame on you. =\

This is not about yellowface.I don’t think you’ve been following the argument if you think that it is.Please take a look at the recent controversy over Kimono Wednesdays at the MFA in Boston. There has been a bit of controversy among Japanese-Americans regarding this issue, resulting in both protests and counterprotests vis a vis Kimono Wednesday. Here’s some information from the counterprotestors:  http://japaneseamericaninboston.blogspot.com/2015/07/counterprotest-this-wednesday-mfa.html If you further need to understand where I’m coming from check out this great video by youtubers Rachel and Jun: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kwoSYWIgV9Y

I completely understand that I am not coming across well right now, and I hope that these links can clarify what I am trying to express.~Mod Pluto

You don't honour a culture by just trying on a kimono and a yukata. I am extremely offended by non Japanese people wearing the peices of my culture then turn around and call my food smelly, or make fun of my name and fetishize and sexual harrase me and call my culture weird and fucked up. I agree with the previous anon. Please check out thisisnot japan. There the only ones standing up for our culture.

I have seen thisisnotjapan, thank you for suggesting it to me for a second time. :) I can definitely recognize that fetishization of asian women is a huge issue and it sickens me as much as it sickens you. It upsets me that Japan is represented as this wacky, unusual country when it is nothing like the trendy top ten lists across the internet would tell you. It is a beautiful country with its own history and customs just like any other country. I am sorry that people have disrespected you so often. I just don’t see the harm in trying on yukata or kimono for the sake of appreciating the beauty and craftsmanship of them. They are lovely articles of clothing and as long as they are worn and handled properly I don’t see how this is a problem. Sue me.~Mod Pluto

There were Japanese protesters in the mfa boston though.... Even thisisnotjapan was outraged.

I do recognize there were also counterprotestors who were Japanese. I realize it isn’t always black and white, but I do not understand the outrage, and neither did the countrerprotesters. They were very confused by why the young asian-american community was so bothered by people wanting to honor and share in their culture.  ~Mod Pluto

"Male homelessness is 75% of the male population, whereas it’s only 25% of the female population." ... 75% of the male population is not homeless. 25% of the female population is not homeless. We would have a horrible epidemic where 49ish percent of the US was homeless if that were the case. It makes it hard to trust this blog as objective (and I want to, as a non-SJW who believes in equality) if you reblog without critique someone who can't read a chart.

EDIT: Okay, anon. I see what your complaint is about. The OP misread and misrepresented the chart in how the described it. That does not negate that the chart says the actual figures, and as that chart was in the body of a large post, I can see why whoever on the blog reblogged the post would not notice that the text accompanying it was innacurate. MY BAD! Nonetheless, the chart says that 75% of the homeless population is male, not that 75% of the male population is homeless. :) And that is a fact to stand by. I think in this case more critical reading should happen on everyone’s part and I thank you for bringing this to our attention.~Mod Pluto

I didn't know u were anti feminist wow

So? It’s probably obvious that a few people in this group are anti-feminist, including myself. Each mod tags their post or reblog with their mod name - because as it says on the side of the blog, not all of us share the same stances on certain subjects.Regardless, being against feminism, as it is now, does not automatically mean a person is against women’s rights and/or gender equality. You can be for women’s rights and gender equality and not be a feminist! Feminism does not hold some sort of copyright on these human rights. This doesn’t mean I can never agree with someone who calls themself a feminist. But like any other movement, you have the choice to call yourself a part of it or not. For example, you can be for animal rights and not want to be associated with PETA. You can be enviromental and make an effort to protect our planet from climate change, but not join the Green Party. And you can be for MOGAI rights but want nothing to do with FKH8. You do not “owe” anything to a movement, even if it may have been positive and progressive in the past. Just like you aren’t responsible for anything your ancestors did. That was then. This is now.~ Moon

Hey Neptune I just want to send some love your way for making that post about peridork. you remembered that this person was human and made a mistake and that's more than I can say about most of tumblr. That was cool. You're cool.

Oh, wow, um... thanks!

I just don’t like seeing people harrassed... I see a lot of people nearly killing themselves on this site because of one little mistake, or being forced to delete to get away from it. Heck, it gets so bad that some artists who are really popular are driven off of tumblr.

I know she has an impulse disorder as well, and I can empathize with that to an extent, since ADHD has made me have impulse controls as well. I know that she probably did not mean what she said, because I’ve said some terrible stuff when I was in a bad place too.

Can I just say that post about sailor moon and Narnia bothered me. Susan wasn't lost to Narnia because she got interested in sex. She was lost to Narnia because she got so obsessed with being an adult that she stopped believing in Narnia because she decided that adults couldn't believe in such things.

Oh. Well, to be honest, I didn’t read the books. I’ll take your word for it, but C.S.Lewis was also incredibly religious. Not that religion and freedom of sexual expression can’t go hand-in-hand, but it was a different time back then, and he wasn’t ahead of it.~Moon
