i still don’t understand what this fandom’s obsession with wanting more “political conflict” is like every b plot to every arc isn’t already circulated around political drama as portrayed through 200 pages of someone getting mad that scrimbyclaw of bungoclan went past another clans borders that ultimately ends with all the clans teaming up to fight a mean loner or something before remembering that segregation is good actually and then ending on the note of “well, maybe some people are justified in being xenophobic, and maybe these old oppressive traditions are actually good as long as the good guys are in charge, and also thunderclan is the goodest and most correct of all”

i don’t want “political drama” as written by writers whose politics are garbage because they don’t believe in anything or have anything good or meaningful to say. the series is at it’s best when it’s batshit and absurd and fantastical. i want more magic more possession more dreamwalking i want them to introduce a group of mutated superpowered c.h.u.d. cats i want a cat to be born with horns and wings and i want the protagonist of the next arc to shoot lazer beams from their eyes
