The Sun Through the Houses (PART I)

st House: There is a sort of natural ability to draw people in when one's Sun is in this house, as this type of person is often naturally energetic and quite warm. They should be following their own heart's desires and accomplishing clearly set goals. There is an inner need to be seen by others and to feel important in a room full of people, they enjoy standing out, and leadership is often something that these individuals excel in too. Their ego can get out of hand and that is something they should keep in mind and make sure that egomania doesn't cause their own downfall. Sometimes slowing down, remembering, and nurturing their relationships will be helpful. Nevertheless one's individuality is very important to this person and completely ignoring ones wishes to follow the hearts of others is not something these people will be happy to do for too long. The type of energy they exude of course depends on the Sign their Sun is actually placed in. A Scorpio 1st house Sun will be very intense and magnetic but still very mysterious, whereas a Sagittarius Sun here would make someone a quite jovial, big presence type of person. These people tend to be full of courage and independently spirited, inner strenght and a brighlty illuminated path is their gift.

nd House: There is a need for these people to build and accomplish something by themselves. These are the builders, the people that need to have stability and security. There is a durable quality to these individuals, both in terms of mental health and body health. They tend to be quite sturdy and no matter the task they push themselves to the finish line. Their home is very important to them, they often will have beautiful homes and they will work very hard to keep them that way. There can be too much overindulging with this house, especially if the Sun is placed in such signs as Sagittarius, Taurus or Pisces or aspecting Jupiter and Venus. Their look is usually more natural and simple, they don't care so much of what others think of them as long as they are happy and proud of themselves then that is all that matters. They can get stuck in their daily routines and stray from trying new things, so it's important that they have others in their circle who bring them outside of their set routines that might keep them from experiencing new things. Sometimes hoarding can happen with this placement, not always of physical things. A Gemini Sun may hoard knowledge and information, Capricorn Sun may hoard money and always feel the need to have a large amount of savings to feel safe. Self-worth is often attributed to what and how much the 2nd House Sun person owns.

rd House: This is a person who if unafflicted by other placements really shines in the area of communications. Learning and sharing information is very important to these individuals. Often they will have many skills, perhaps they won't be the master of many of them but they will know a little bit about many topics. Reading and gaining knowledge is highly revered by them and their quick mind and naturally curious nature always sends them on little adventures. They are great talkers and their silver tongue often gets them out of trouble, although it sometimes finds trouble for them too. Mischief is often an inborn trait and often, perhaps out of boredom, these people love to cause a bit of chaos around them just to see what may happen. There is a need here to always be learning and developing the intellect, otherwise they get bored and start causing troubles around them. Writing is generally something that these people can be very good at, creating something from nothing on a page really nurtures the creative nature of the Sun. Quick wit is often something these people are naturally blessed with. If the Sun is afflicted then they may have struggles with communication skills, writing or even a hard time in early education. One should also be careful to not manipulate others too much as this is a skill that the 3rd House Sun finds easy to master.

th House: The person with this placement is really concerned with family life, their home and feelings of safety and comfort. They are usually blessed with a rich and deep inner life, and can spend a lot of time by themselves, creating new ideas. The self needs to be expressed through both nurturing others and oneself. Familial culture is often very important to these people. Their homes directly reflect their uniqueness and specialness, talents and skills. This lifetime isn't necessarily all about outer achievements, more so about achieving inner peace. A lot of spiritual and emotional growth is upon Sun in the 4th house people in this lifetime. Traditions from long past and ancestral traumas can hold them back at times, the feeling of being stuck in the neighbourhood you can't ever escape from. It's the Sun, it needs to find it's own uniqueness and yet still feel like it's connected to their roots and family. They may have issues with inferiority and shyness as the Sun could also mean there was a very authoritative and controlling father figure in their home that held back their emotions and self-expression.
