After Typhoon Lionrock that hit Iwaizumi, Iwate last year, the Iwaizumi roadside station (Michi-no-eki) was closed (in stages) for rebuilding and renovation works. To celebrate its upcoming (full) reopening on 20th April, Furudate-sensei drew a shikishi to welcome customers to the roadside station. On its reopening, there will be a ‘Haikyuu!! corner’ at the roadside station with all the volumes of the manga and life-size tapestries together with other items for customers to enjoy.
Translation of shikishi (a square fancy cardboard for autographs/illustrations): “Welcome to Michi no Eki Iwaizumi!!”
[Furudate-sensei has previously shown his support for the residents of Iwaizumi and surrounding areas affected by the typhoon with this illustration.]

IwaOi headcanon: For every selfie that Oikawa has sent him Iwaizumi has sent one straight back, but he’s really bad at it. Like, really bad. For the most part his photos tend to be wonky, blurry or horribly lit (sometimes all three at once), but every now and then he gets it just right. No matter what the pictures look like, Oikawa treasures them all.

I just saw the Seijou third years aquarium comic you reblogged and it made me think: in the bitw universe, if Iwa was a merman (which a hilarious thought as it is) but would he be a pufferfish merman??!!! He would have a spiky tail!!!

I think I was planning on drawing something, but… I haven’t been in a drawing mood lately, OOPS.
But what I found extremely funny about this is that it… would make sense?? In a switched-roles AU for BitW, Iwaizumi would be the siren, right? And like… even though merfolk in BitW don’t actually take on the traits of the fish they’re based on, I did make a rule for myself that siren designs would be based off of toxic fish.

I used the porcupine puffer as reference because we’ve actually owned one and they’re super cute and they’re more interesting design wise. And they’re eyes are reflective and shiny, which I wish I could’ve done. Anyhoo, enjoy~
