I like to imagine when croc gets mad and takes buggy's ballistics chemistry set away, buggy goes running to tattle and act pathetic to mihawk.
(it doesn't get his explosives back, but he gets attention and annoys croc in return.)

asl brothers + buggy lore
1. younger!buggy tried to dye his hair (with the clumsy help of rosi) but it always faded too quickly. sabo thought it was neat.
2. ace does not like when strangers look at his uncle buggy for too long. he has stabbed a man in the leg before.
3. sabo is the only one trusted not to be strapped down or leashed when in public. luffy is a flight risk and ace falls asleep too sporadically for buggy's anxiety.

the only marine battleship safe from fire first ace is the one helmed by captain firebug of course.

I just think....hear me out....captain firebug (marine!buggy au) can't go anywhere without the red haired pirates casually showing up to the nearest dock at break-neck speed.
(he's a marine captain so OF COURSE he has to attempt to capture the infamous pirate and if that leads to stumbling into the pirate's quarters...well...it's his duty as a marine to stay until he wins right? riGHT??!!)
