helix is ur regular everyday guy: dead with his spirit trapped in a car. he enjoys long drives on the beach, and a little vehicular manslaughter on occasion just as much as the rest of us. also believes kids these days spend too much time on their phones. etc.
the smartest thing ive ever done is go full self-indulgence with this story and make the demon car a nova. it’s just self care, folks

This is what happens when I let doodles get completely out of hand.
I just have such a need to see Elijah Baley and Daneel Olivaw in space suits. Imagining Elijah’s agoraphobia when confronted with open vacuum space travel? Or exploring planets where the open air is completely toxic?
Part 3 of Nat/Henry series
now with more backstory! also i didn’t know how to end this part so it has a shitty ending ok ignore that
Look at them being all in love and caring about each other!!! ♥ ♥ ♥
Part 2 of the Nat/Davis chronicles in Asimovian Spaceeee
I snapped
Daneel, having just sat down, stood back up, his hand outstretched towards Nat.
“It’s a pleasure to meet you, Ms. Davis. Or would you prefer the more familiar ‘Nat’?”
She smiled. “Nat is fine.”
Nat glanced over the tall, slender man before her. His smile seemed genuine, as well as the demeanor of who she presumed was his partner. What Nat didn’t realize what who they were or what they were there for. She also didn’t realize that, in the split second after she had been introduced, a conversation had taken place between Henry and Daneel. Elijah, while having overheard the conversation, remained silent.
“I do not wish to distract from your introduction. But I would to clarify if she is aware of who you are.”
“Somewhat.”
“Please elaborate.”
“Through various incidents I have been forced to reveal to her my inhuman nature. However, she does not have a source or cause to attach this nature to. I apologize for not informing you of this development”
“For how long has she been aware?”
“…a year and a half.”
A pause, nearly indistinguishable in normal time but noticeable within their conversation, arose.
Daneel continued.
“I would have preferred that you would let me know if these things occur. I am not entirely against others being aware of who you are, but we must take appropriate measures to ensure that these secrets remain as such. Regardless, the past is the past.”
Daneel discontinued the internal conversation, nodding subtly in real time.
Both sat back down, and Henry took a seat besides Nat. Finally, Daneel introduced himself.
“You may call me Daneel. And this,” he gestured at Elijah, who gave a thin smile, waving a hand in the air, “is my partner, Elijah.”
Nat smiled at both of them. “It’s a pleasure to meet you both.”
Daneel nodded. “While there are varied definitions and interpretations of the world, if you don’t mind me clarifying, when you say that you are partners, you mean th-”
Henry jumped in. “We are together, yes.”
Daneel smiled at them, but quickly lapsed back into a serious tone. “Very well. This does alter some of my intention in coming here. I do not wish to disrupt your lives any further. But if you do not mind, I will still ask.”
“Henry, there is a vital task that needs to be performed on Luna. While you have not worked within this sector, you have received training to do so. Unfortunately, accepting such a task would take approximately two years of your time, although we could perform the appropriate tasks to guarantee your sabbatical and you can return back to Siliris once the task is complete.”
Henry looked at Nat, then at Daneel. “Daneel, I would be happy to help. However, we have just moved in together and I do not want to leave Nat just as I’ve found her.”
Elijah spoke up. “We would never require it of you. We just knew that you would be an excellent addition to our team. But you have an excellent life here as well.”
Daneel nodded. “Elijah is correct. While we each have our responsibilities, we also have our lives. I am not going to be the one who prevents you from living yours.”
Suddenly, Nat interrupted. “What’s Luna?”
The room fell silent. Only the sound of the occasional gust of chilly wind could be heard hitting the apartment window.
Daneel looked towards Elijah, seemingly appealing to him advice. Through the thousands of years that they had been together, they had developed a deep enough understand of one another that they could communicate just by looking at one another. Elijah look back at him, giving a small smile and a look that, to Daneel, meant “Go for it ”.
So he did.
“Nat, what I am about to tell you is a matter of extreme confidentiality. I trust you with this knowledge not only because you appear to be a nice person, but because it is clear to me that Henry trusts and cares about you. This is enough for me.”
“I suppose that before I explain to you what Luna is or what we’re doing, I should explain a little more about myself.
"While ordinarily I would feel the need to give you another name or position, from what I understand, it would be best to tell you the truth. My name is Daneel Olivaw. Or rather, R. Daneel Olivaw. The R., if you might have guessed, stands for 'Robot’.”
He glanced at her, assessing her reaction to his statement. It was in these measured glances and analyses that he would be able to determine how much of the truth she could be trusted with.
She nodded coolly. Daneel continued.
“This is my partner, Elijah Baley. He is a robot as well. I have been informed that you are aware that Henry is also a robot. By most every other measure, however, you may consider him human. I suspect you feel the same, and that this knowledge has not altered your perspective of him.”
She shook her head. “It has not. I loved him before, and I love him still.”
Daneel smiled. “I’m glad to hear this. To continue, Luna is a location in the galaxy, in fact, not too far from here, where ourselves and other robots conduct work for the good of the galaxy. We are self-sustaining and, along with our commitment to the galaxy and humanity as a whole, work to preserve wildlife and other artifacts from planets made uninhabitable by war or other factors.”
“What we have come here for was to ask Henry if he could assist us on a current issue that we are facing on Luna that requires specialized help. Henry possesses the capability to do this, but there are others who do as well. Since I do not want to separate you two after just having come together, we can continue on to find another person. But we appreciate being introd-”
“Hey, Daneel?” Elijah spoke suddenly.
Daneel cocked his head at Elijah.
“I have another idea. May I?”
Daneel nodded his head. “Of course.”
“Since Nat now knows about Luna, the mission, and already knew about Henry and has been trusted with this information even longer, I see no reason why she cannot come with him.”
“To Luna base?”
Elijah shrugged. “Well, yes. We have the facilities to host human beings, if only for a short period, but we can modify that no problem.”
Daneel was beaming. “You’re brilliant.”
Elijah sighed. “Mmmmno, I’m not. Maybe a little less cautious than you. Which isn’t always a good thing. But this is a good thing.”
“Of course. However, this is not our decision to make. Henry, Nat, you are both welcome to come to Luna. As for you Henry, you would be working on the asteroid sector with an issue relating to mining. Your current tasks can be temporarily put on hold. And for Nat, we could find an appropriate task for you as well. Naturally, both of you would receive compensation for your work.”
“The question is this: do you accept?”
Henry looked towards Nat, who seemed to be deep in thought. He stretched a hand out to hold hers, which she received.
“We can stay here, Nat. We can do whatever you want to. I fear that I’ve already added enough chaos into your life as it is.”
She put her other hand over his and turned to look him in the eyes. “You know, you really have, Henry. But you know what else?”
She leaned in and gave him a peck on the cheek.
“I’ve loved every moment of it.”
She flashed an adventurous grin towards Elijah and Daneel.
“We’ll do it
AAAAAAA!!! THIS IS PERFECT OMG!!! ♥♥♥
