I love love love this list. Loved the selected titles. Love the care and words into each film Love the revelation of what makes film so special in the first place Loved being reminded why I cherish John Carpenter in the first place Fantastic
Host Mick Garris talks terror with directors David Cronenberg, John Carpenter and John Landis in this program that originally aired on the Los Angeles based Z-Channel in the early 1980s.
Utterly fantastic roundtable of three great directors talking about the craft of fear and making you repulse in the theater. This also captures a favorite moment of horror for me, the early 80′s, which (as the directors themselves note) was open to great, beautiful, practical effects, if some times belonging to meh movies. Not these though. This was a great extra on the various dvds it was on, but it’s also great to see people who no longer buy physical media enjoy this engaging discussion.
Be this year upcoming the one where you can see, and the black and white monochrome from your dreams spills into your life.
