“Home is where love resides memories are created, friends and family belong, and laughter never ends.” - Unknown Robert Sugden Week - Day 4 - The Mill
Hi! Can I have number 6 please :) Your fics are amazing I love them all *-* Oh and Happy New Year ;)
#6 “are these for your girlfriend, then?”
Aaron couldn’t help but look at the stranger sitting across from him on the train. He was gorgeous, wearing a deep burgundy coloured suit that had caught his attention from the moment the man had gotten on in Manchester, the colour a stark contrast to his pale skin, and blond hair.
“God, is the train always so slow?” he commented, looking at his watch.
“Usually not,” Aaron replied, unsure if he’d been looking for a reply or not - but he figured it was worth a chance, worth trying to talk to the attractive stranger. “I think theres works on the line.”
The blond sighed. “Of course,” he tapped his finger against the table. “I’d drive, normally, but, well - my car decided this morning was the morning to give out. Can you believe that?”
“Always the way,” Aaron hummed, gesturing to his crutches. “I’ve got no other choice at the moment, unfortunately. Broken ankle.”
“Ouch. How’d it happen?”
“Some lad fell on me during a boxing match,” Aaron explained, thinking back to the moment his opponent had tripped and fell onto his leg, the sickening crunch of his ankle imprinted on his memory forever.
“You’re a boxer, then?”
“It’s just a hobby,” Aaron said. “Paying for it now, though.”
“Sounds like it.”
Aaron glanced at the bouquet of flowers on the seat next to the blond, raising an eyebrow. “They for your girlfriend, then?” he inquired, wanting to try and see where he stood, if he had a chance at all.
He was an attractive twenty-something, Aaron knew that much, so it was worth a try.
“My sister,” the blond corrected. “I haven’t seen her in a long time, figured the flowers was a good start.”
“It’s usually expensive video games, that gets me on the good side of my sister,” Aaron said, thinking of Liv, and the tantrums that were only ever solved by a trip to Gamestop.
The blond laughed. “I wish Vic was like that, she’s impossible to buy for,” he said, shifting in his seat. “Been a long time since I even had a girlfriend, blokes are always much easier to buy for.”
Aaron barely held back his grin. “My ex-boyfriend was always happy with sportswear,” he said, shrugging at the memory. Ed had been the most easygoing boyfriend he’d ever had, it was nice - simple, easy and nice.
But Aaron wanted more than that, he decided, and the mysterious stranger sitting across from him in a beautiful suit - well, he was intriguing to him.
“My ex-boyfriend wanted expensive clothes and holidays,” the blond rolled his eyes. “It didn’t last, as you might imagine.”
“I’m a cheap date, me,” Aaron smirked, spotting the tea-trolly trundling up their carriage. “I’d go for a cup of tea and a kit-kat.”
The blond looked over his shoulder, laughing. “I could swing for that - as long as you’re good to keep me entertained until this train gets going.”
Aaron smiled, his heart beating a little faster in his chest as he realised his cheeky move had paid off. “Deal. I’m Aaron, by the way.”
“Robert,” the gorgeous blond said, finally putting a name to the face. “I’m Robert.”
The American Gods comic is really good, guys.
It really is.
@letthebluerain was in the mood for a continuation of Robert and Aaron in the pub when Aaron comes back from his day in court. She wanted Robert still in his blazer, but I felt like celebrating some freckles. She isn’t wrong about the utility of the height of the bar, though.
What up, filth pit? I guess I am going with getting tagged because no matter what I do my blog has been marked.
Delicious, finally some good fucking food ____ Kitchen nightmares / Ratatouille crossover we all deserve
i’m sorry, i had to

@robertinblack requested a kiss on the spiral staircase, and I tried to deliver! I’m challenging myself to do tougher pieces, and working on my figure drawing.
I’m going to be honest this was pretty tough to draw because I think this would be genuinely awkward body positions. I am happy with Aaron’s position, it’s just Robert who got a bit wonky.
Look! Another quote poster!
The “who they are” bit is genuinely one the funniest things emmerdale has ever done.
You just know that when Aaron and Robert are two old men sitting in their old man chairs, the tables will have turned. Robert will be the uber grumpy one with a serious attitude problem and Aaron will have to stop him from going off all the time. Aaron also cries all the time because life is just so beautiful, you know
