You have the power to plant and nurture the good thoughts! Sometimes it’s hard if you are around people sending you negative thoughts, but hold onto the good ones, and a beautiful confident person will grow.

if bad thoughts have been planted already, don’t worry though, you can always do a little weeding :)

The Selfie

"So there's been a lot of debate recently about selfies. there are arguments declaring that every selfie is an act of opulent vanity, a disgusting habit that reflects our society's concentration on looks over kindness, charity, care for one another. i've read a lot of the arguments raging against the selfie, and i've thought long and hard about it, and here's what i can say: i'm a feminist. i firmly believe (maybe it's crazy, idk) that women are not treated the same as men in our world. i firmly believe that many of the arguments against selfie culture are exacerbated by sexist standards - so many of the selfies labelled as self-obsessed are those of female celebrities like kim kardashian or taylor swift. it feels like, to me, the attack on selfie culture is fuelled by society's acceptance of the idea that women should not be confident. they should be demure, unassuming, gracious and they should never, ever know they're pretty or encompass their own body like they known it means something. because if we allow women their self-worth, we encourage them to use their voice in turn. so here's what i say: take a selfie. take a selfie a day, keep the body hate away. take so many selfies and walk with your head up and understand that there is only one you in this world and you are beautiful because of it. speculators can rant about our pride like it's a bad thing, it doesn't change the fact that feeling like you have value in this world is a positive, bold thing and it will increase the quality of your life and the quantity of your happiness tenfold."
