I’ve been considering it but ultimately I.... don’t think I’ll change my duskwight boy over, I love him too much as is to change him around and his lore and everything QvQ but it’s super fun to at least draw him as one!! maybe on a different shard/au he’s a viera hjsjhdf

 Currently he’s 29 in canon, so his age won’t change regardless! I’ll prolly make a lady viera when they come out since.... males don’t exist yet....

I’m glad that’s still making rounds! It kinda surprises me that so many people have found it useful, but I’m super glad and hope it’s managed to teach everyone a thing or two! 

I should do some more tutorials when I have time....... but time is, uh..... a big factor

Since I still get these asks more or less.... weekly (wow guys I’m really glad you like that au so much! really! thank you!) This is more or less the last time I’m going to say or mention this:

Darkpath AU has been discontinued for.... a year or so now. I’m no longer working on it. Not for the time being, and I have no plans of reviving it right now due to current workload, juggling multiple jobs, stress, and trying to get my life in order. I have no time for it right now. At all. 

I know that’s a bit disheartening, and I had a lot of plans for it, but I essentially bit off more than I could chew. That was my fault - and I shouldn’t have begun the comic in the first place without fully realizing that I wouldn’t have the time for it. I found out the hard way; my workload got heavier, and I was forced to discontinue it for a multitude of reasons that I’d rather not disclose. 

I fully welcome anyone that wishes to still do things for it, pick up where I left off on their own takes of it, etc. - so long as I’m credited for the idea and designs.

I’m sorry, and I know that disappoints a lot of you that enjoyed the AU and were hoping for further updates, but I really hope you enjoy my art enough to stick with me even if I won’t be continuing the comic! ; ;

now it’s just cleaning up around here and dusting stuff off, trying to find a new theme and a bunch of other fun stuff heh, BUT HEY HOW’S IT GOING sorry for my absence

life’s been super nuts since I got a new job and it’s left me pretty exhausted, plus some personal related issues had me pretty down and unable to work properly, but i’m gettin back at it. hope everyone’s been doin as good as possible, i’m gonna try to draw as much as I can now that things are going a bit better for me

Actually back when I was a younger artist, I used to trace all the time! And I still use references, those are something you kinda never grow out of, heheheh. 

I think it’s perfectly okay to trace so long as you don’t claim it as your own. It’s kinda a mixed thing, some artists believe it’s not a good idea, others do - it goes back and forth. But I’m one of the ones that tell you that it’s okay to do!

It’s especially fine for the learning process, because you’ll be able to learn things from it, learn lines, etc. As long as you can take something away from it, it’s worth it - but don’t get used to tracing all the time! Make sure you draw freeform too and don’t trace things, it’s sometimes better to eyeball something and then put it on paper that way instead.

I actually do also heavily reference poses for my art sometimes, but I change around some of the limbs to make it more like something I wanted it to be. And that’s totally okay! Don’t be afraid to reference- even artists who have been in the field for years still use references and learn from them!

Honestly that’s kinda a tough one, but I’d have to say long hair is one of my faves, or flowing clothing heheh

It’s just super fun to draw, especially when there’s a breeze or wind blowing it, because it reminds me of waves almost? Really relaxing to look at and to draw, coloring is another story though
