To follow up on my prev anon message, Jon has also left the biggest mark on Elias/Jonah. To think that he could ever end up in a position where his centuries of life's work to remain Immortal has Killed Him. That someone could get close enough to drive that knife in place: it could have only ever been Jon. His Archive. Not even Clever Gertrude who figured him out all on her own could do it. Just spindly, crazed, scarred, perfect Jonathan Sims. Stabbing him for every life lost. How could he do anything but wish such a fantastic creature "good luck" with his dying breath? That is LOVE baby
The “Good Luck” line makes me insane tbh. As much as i have criticisms of how Jonah is handled in the end of the show, that being his last words is truly perfect
I like to think that in the moment jon killed him, jon was able to truly understand jonah. It didnt change anything, couldnt have. But he understood everything jonah was about. Finally having access to the mind of the person who created him- thoughts that jonah kept from literally everyone but jon
