Let me use this chance to present the chapter 2 of the comic of which I haven’t come up with a name *lmao*. I am thankful of your question, and I am optimistic about it actually. Precisely because there are so many gaps about Renfield, that people are able to draw from different sources to enrich him, and of course his dear master. It allows huge freedom while a healthy level of respect to an original work may be maintained.

I have to thank you for all the encouragements, I am glad that I make someone happy :) When I think of the jealous brides of Dracula, as you suggested before, a suitable image I came across was this; and this alone looks like they deserve a back story of some sorts-

As to what might happen in the Dracfield wedding night afterwards, I do not have an idea tbh-- I do have an impression that Renfield is intentionally vague about what really happened in the beginning with Dracula, both to himself and to his human acquaintances. However I could imagine what a "normal" vampire-familiar dynamics look like- exchange of blood, exchange of oath of some kind, and then the master must guide the familiar through the darkness, to learn necessary vampire knowledge and know the way of the night. But these two just constantly did you-know-what and that leaves Renfield woefully lacking in deeper, occult knowledge about the vampires, and in turn Dracula looses some "edge" and becomes "primitive and cruel" in his ways, because of the constant, small mistakes Renfield makes.

However to give a correct "feel" to a story like this, one has to at least have the elegant and incredibly effective capability of 19th century illustration masters like Eduard Thöny. You know what I mean by looking at his pieces. I am goddamn FAR FAR off from THAT, that I dunno if I will do the story any justice. Anyway, practice and practice :)

I saw this questionnaire floating around PLURK so I attempted to translate it into English (many of the stuff I dunno how to express. Any opinion and correction is welcomed). Anyway, please have a go and have a blast :D

01- Renfield (2023) /Dracfield (pairing)

02- When Dracula very slowly and seductively said-"I'm a god, Renfield..." something weird in me just clicked in the movie theater.

03- We have a fandom community :) Even if there isn't one, I would still draw Dracfield.

04- Renfield is such a cute rag doll cat throughout, how could he not be bottom ? However it may come as a surprise but I don't mind Dracula being bottom, occasionally. The Count would experiment anything just to mess with his pet (in my opinion).

05- I have a headcannon in which the personality of a victim affects the mood and personality of the Count. When innocent blood was available, the Count was charming, aristocratic and cordial. But the blood of the psychopaths would turn him increasingly outwardly narcissistic. But silly Renfield is woefully lacking in some vampire knowledge...

06- I am very curious what would to happen to Dracula and Renfield if civilization progresses to cyberpunk future. It is plausible because this lovely pair could easily live centuries.

07- I much prefer comedy, because there's already a hint of underlying tragedy for either Dracula or Renfield.

08- I think my Christmas Dinner would do. It is very short and endearing, suitable for sharing with non-fandom people.

09- I'll pass I'm not good at fast doodles :S

10- Toxic, possessive, soul devouring entanglement.

Oh no, don't feed the Count those Karens, they can't taste good.
