Starting this upcoming MONDAY 2/24, I’ll be starting my webcomic, About Merpeople!

Hello all!!! Thanks so much for all of the positive responses I got to some of the merpeople comics I started posting back in December. I’m really grateful for all of the kind and encouraging messages I’ve received from you guys over the past couple of months. 

I want to keep on making merpeople comics on a regular basis, and that their new home will be at aboutmerpeople.tumblr.com. I will be updating this twice a week, and I’m really excited about some of the new comics, new characters, and longer storylines I’ll be exploring in the near future :)

P.S. I had picked out today as the date to make this announcement in advance, and I found out this morning that today’s Sketch Dailies topic is actually Mermaids as well! This was purely coincidental, but it’s exciting for me because that means twitter, tumblr, instagram, etc. will be full of dozens of artists’ mermaid drawings and that makes me incredibly happy :) If you guys aren’t following Sketch Dailies, you should check it out because it’s pretty neat!

So excited about this.  I hope there’s a whole story arc involving three pregnant seahorse dads a la The Hangover.

I just made a gif edit of this amazing Rekindle Candle by Benjamin Shine and thought I’d share the non-animated version as well.
