Duke squared his shoulders, bringing the two bags of groceries into the manor kitchen, and started laying everything out on the counter, or putting it in the fridge. It didn't take long and Alfred was there.
The elder man looked at the variety of seasonings, the types of vegetables present, and that set of Duke's posture.
"I see I will be the student today," Alfred said in a calm, loving manner. Duke settled at that, and half-shrugged.
"I like your cooking, but… I thought maybe we could try my kind of food?"
"I'll be delighted," Alfred said.
Duke smiled brightly.
