i based this off of the storybook twilight reads in the prologue, with my own little touches

id like to believe that lauren fausts original vision for the show (only two alicorns) and the direction the show takes (celestia can appoint new alicorns) coexist, but only because celestia is knowingly-or-not shattering the balance of the universe by thrusting godhood into the hands of mortals. im working on a comic that id like to have explore this idea- whether or not i ever post it is another story, but the idea alone is helping me move past art block right now :)

So my June project may have extended (far) into July, but it’s never too late for pride right?

In the spirit of Halloween, here are some GG20s designs of Nightmare Moon, Discord, and Chrysalis, MLP's spookiest villains.

Starlight, Tirek, and Sombra are on the chopping block too, so don't worry about them getting left out.

Design process for NM. @tulliok did the initial sketch in the first image.

Designs for Discord and Chrys are largely unchanged from their first iteration, mostly just reworking their shape/flow and colors.
