Citing a crackdown on contraband, a county jail in Columbus, Ohio is banning outside deliveries of underwear and socks. A contractor will be selling the items at the jail store, and inmates who can’t afford to buy their “whites” will have to go without.
Underwear for inmates “is not a minimum jail standard in Ohio,” Dave Masterson, director of administrative services at the Franklin County Jail, told the Columbus Dispatch.
“As good as it is, and as much as we need it and look forward to having it in the fleet for many years, the F-35 should be, and almost certainly will be, the last manned strike fighter aircraft the Department of the Navy will ever buy or fly,” Navy Secretary Ray Mabus said.
