anyway here is a snippet ft. solavellan dreamer baby, and for like the only time ever i have actually kept it to six sentences: “I have strange dreams of late,” she tells him, moving his palm to the swell of her abdomen. Solas traces the movement within, each shift and flutter.

1. Untitled Solavellan story

In his bliss he defaults to his mother tongue, pressing soft sounds to her skin with every kiss.

Emma sa’lath, he says, and ar lath ma, and bellanaris, and there are older, more intricate words she does not know, yet understands. 

In the end, they all mean the same thing: I love you, I love you.

2. Ortolan (an Ascended Astarion/ Spawn Tav story)

She finds the kitchen and the larder and the buttery standing useless– though the rats, if they could speak, might disagree.

They’re busy gnawing at the stock of moldy scraps still in the pantry, hardly minding her approach until she’s on them. When they scatter, her eyes track them like a hunter, like an animal, an instinct she’s developed since her death.

She is stronger, swifter, sharper– as Astarion had promised– but there is violence softly shimmering beneath. She wants to tear at something, always, wants to follow something home. She wants to bite down hard enough to make her jaw ache.
