You know, I always imagined that Fowler and Rocky developed an interesting dynamic after the first movie what with Rocky becoming the new rooster and all, and I was hoping the sequel might touch on it in some way.

((This isn’t a headcanon as much as an amusing observation I suppose - but it occurs to me that after losing Pepper, Fowler would have been the sole leader and protector of the flock for a time. Which means he would have had a definite hand in raising and teaching Ginger and the remaining chicks as they grew up.))

Yes, i love this observation, i like to believe that pepper despite Having a dominant attitude and a fervent desire to escape like her daughter, she was also a very sweet and kind hen, especially with the chicks that lived on the tweedy farm as a way to give them some kind of comfort and teach them that not everything in the life is bad or sad, his personality would also make an interesting dynamic with Fowler being (in my hc) an stoic rooster but equally protective of his flock especially Pepper
