So do we still think that there's a possibility Till's alive or was this his send-off comic?

Personally, I believe that he would very well be alive. Nonetheless, this is definitely Till's edition of what the fans informally have dubbed "death comics" where we have "thank you for being the victim of my shallow emotions" for Ivan and Sua's being where we met her big sister and she calls Mizi her paradise, I believe.

This is definitely Till's version of that, which could imply that he's dead, but at the same time- it doesn't have an ending that directly references his "death" like the other two do. I'm not saying that's a reason to believe he's still alive but at the same time, Ivan's had him kissing Till during Round 6 as his last panel, and Sua's had her getting shot in the neck as her last panel, whereas Till's involves him walking away with Ivan, Mizi, and Sua. We've never seen this drawing of Anakt before, it's unclear if it's even Anakt (it could be an idealized version of it, or simply a *real* version of it that isn't so artificial), but it doesn't end on nearly so dismal a note as the others. It's not necessarily hopeful but it doesn't have that final nail in the coffin feeling that the others do, in my opinion.

He could very well be dead but he could also be alive, I'm not really sure either way. I'm curious as to what exactly you think, Geo! Sorry for the delay, by the by, I was on a field trip 😅

Ok, taking Round 7 at face value for a second with Till dying and Ivan's sacrifice being in vain: adding to the reincarnation au idea

Ivan still wants to avoid Till in their new life as to not be a supposed "burden" to him this time around, but Till, who actively wants to have some closure when it comes to what happened in their past lives, has trouble confronting Ivan about what happended since he's come to realize how much Ivan's life revolved around him and feels overwhelming guilty for failing him by dying and making everything that Ivan's done for him feel meaningless (especially his death).

(I might come back and actually talk about Round 7 itself again if that's ok with you Rocky, I just had reincarnation au on the brain for a sec lol)

Fuckk Geo this 😭 this I love this so much. Till having survivor's guilt about Ivan's death, how he failed Ivan by dying, and how he acted towards Ivan in their previous life, while Ivan is avoiding Till out of a desire not to be a burden and isn't even fazed by his own death/the way that Till acted towards him.

I imagine that Till's hesitancy to talk to Ivan would be even further cemented when he finally finds Ivan and he realizes that, wait, what if Ivan was avoiding Till because he really didn't want to see Till again? What if Ivan was trying to move on and here Till is, fucking that up? I think it would be even more delicious if, in the wake of this, Ivan and Till locked eyes and Till ran away, leading to the dynamic once again being turned on its head, where Ivan tries to locate Till in an effort to figure out just how Till found him and why because I can't imagine he made it easy.

I don't really know how to feel about Round 7 yet because right now it feels kind of... incomplete? I really need to see what happens in the next video, because while I genuinely believe that Till is alive because of his character potential and because I don't believe they would waste Ivan's death like that, I can't be sure until I see the next part. I really hope Till is alive, because I want Round 6 to matter so bad, and while Ivan's sacrifice being in vain would fit with the tragedy of Alien Stage, it just makes Ivan feel like a pointless character if Till just gets wasted like that.

(Sorry if this comes off as me being negative I don't mean for it too I still have faith in Vivinos and Qmeng's writing of course, even if the story turns out different from what I'm expecting.)

OH MY GOD GEO GEO GEO ME TOO I really don't know how to feel about round 7 at all. Blink Gone feels like the first half of a longer video to me, which like, not to say thatg the team didn't put work into it, they did and it's beautiful but like, man it feels so incomplete.

This doesn't come off as negative at all. To be honest, Cast (@atrophiedemotion) and Vant (@ivanttakethis) have talked about the same thing with each other. Vant and I specifically have talked about Ivan being fridged, actually, because if he was only killed for one of the other character's emotional impact, then, that's. well. that's what that would be. I am doing my best to have faith in Vivino's and Qmeng's writing, too, and I do have faith in them, but at the same time, it would be heartbreaking if Ivan was just meant to die as a plot device the whole time. Round 6 shouldn't just matter because it was the Ivantill kiss and the Ivan death. come on. please let it matter

I like the idea that once Till integrates into the rebel lifestyle, he takes up working in the community garden as a side job or hobby.

He likes being useful and helping when it comes to such an important task as farming for the rebellion, but he's especially fond of helping maintain the collection of florals the rebels have collected over the years. His favorites are the tiny selection of authentic native Earth flowers stolen from a Segyein preservation center, which grew and sold these exotic flowers for a high price.

Eventually, after some time working in the garden, Till is granted the opportunity to pick some seeds or stem cuttings to grow his very own personal plants, and after discussing it with Mizi, he picks out the stem cutting of a red clematis and the seed of a forget-me-not.

Till and Mizi dedicate the plants to Sua and Ivan and treat it as a kind of gravesite for their deceased loved ones. Till is very diligent when it comes to maintaining them, and while Mizi doesn't take care of plants as much as Till does, wanting him to have an emotional outlet all to himself, she visits very often and sets offerings by the memorial signs, such as love letters for Sua or sweets like lollipops for Ivan.

I remember seeing maybe a post or two about Till’s LED being green when he was unconscious during Round 3 because he was enjoying Ivan’s song, and while I thought that was a cute idea, I originally wrote it off in my head because I thought Till’s body was probably just relaxed from being knocked out, but now that I’m looking at it again, maybe Till did actually find some comfort in hearing Ivan’s voice?

When he can, Ivan always tries to be there for Till after he's been punished so that he can take off his restraints (also sometimes doing so when there hasn’t been a punishment), so Till subconsciously calming during Round 3 when he knows Ivan’s nearby doesn’t seem that unlikely now that I’m thinking about it.

Also, after the horrific club scene, when Ivan starts nuzzling Till to comfort him (and probably also himself), it looks like Till's face relaxes a bit? (It's a really quick thing in the video, and if you think it's just because Till’s face is being smooshed down by Ivan’s cheek, that's fine; I’m not entirely sure, but I thought I should add it.).

Even though Till may have never really acknowledged outright that Ivan was his best/closest friend and thought the guy was weird and annoying sometimes, he probably recognized that Ivan was loyal and would always try to be there for him in the end.

Hi Castor! In a modern day setting what kind of job do you think Ivan would have? In alot of aus people tend to default to him being an idol or model like in canon but tbh unless someone is pushing him to do that like also in canon I can't really see him going down that route. hi geo! i love this question sm, i actually have a couple different answers to it :3

when i write modern aus i do often depict ivan as a model, musician, or in business. but my thing with writing alnst aus is that in trying to transfer canon material to the au and make it fit the world, i usually depict their guardians as their parents, and unsha's whole 'bigshot absent father who practically forces ivan into a job he doesn't want' thing just makes sense to me. i don't think ivan would enjoy any of these professions or decide on them on his own, but i think he'd do them anyway if circumstances lead him there.

but if they didn't? i fully agree that he wouldn't go down that route. i think maybe if he was approached randomly for something like modeling and he didn't have anything else going on, he'd agree because he doesn't care much either way. but other than that i can't see him pursuing those things.

the main profession i have in mind for ivan is an editor, specifically for novels. in a previous ask of yours i talked about how i imagine ivan would like to write, but i think he'd be more comfortable editing as his actual job than relying on his own work for a living. i think he'd work on personal projects on the side, though.

i also love the idea of him being a planetarium director! like you said, i don't see ivan as a person who's passionate about many things, so him having a job related to something he genuinely cares about is really nice to imagine. i might have to write this someday ngl...

overall though, if he didn't have anything in mind or anyone pushing him, i think he'd do whatever was most readily available to him. work the job until he got bored and couldn't stand it, and would either switch jobs without much care or just deal with it because he doesn't see a purpose in changing when he presumes the outcome will be the same. (i hold out hope that a modern au ivan would be a little less fatalistic, though)

Ivan’s intimacy level for Mizi being only 30% despite the two of them genuinely getting along due to Ivan feeling like he can’t properly connect to Mizi and lower his facade around her lest he shatter her innocent outlook of the world as well as her optimism. Obviously Ivan likes Mizi as a person, but he never really got to experience the kind of innocence that Mizi does before Alien Stage, and while that innocence and the optimism that comes from it draw other people towards her as a kind of beacon of hope like it does with Sua and Till, it just serves as a disconnect for Ivan. Despite believing that Till doesn’t care for him and knowing that Sua dislikes him, Ivan feels closer to the both of them and at liberty of showing a truer version of himself around them, probably glad that he’s found people either similar to him or that have also faced/seen some of the worst aspects of their world.

It's a shame that Ivan will never get to see the kind of person that Mizi's become during her time in the rebellion. After everything she's had to face, he'd probably feel more of a kinship toward her, and with Mizi choosing to fight for a better future for humanity, he probably would be proud of her.

honestly, i think urak's walking on eggshells in the business world due to his class and origins. that's probably why he feels the need to impress others who are more seasoned in the field and prove his worth.

he's actually rather similar to heperu in terms of wanting to achieve superiority in a universe that deems them inferior, it's just that urak's goals are more money-oriented than self-satisfactory.
