Thinking again how Lucia must have felt about Dante never contacting her. How much what he said and did meant to her and how much she clung onto it, and then when he finally comes back he leaves the impression he couldn't care less about her existence. She makes it clear she'd be happy to hear from him again, but the only time they see each other again is for business. He came only because of a job and left literally right after it was finished.
THIS !!!! this is why her line "You're....a cruel man" makes me so insane...like Lucia fucking clocked that man bc its true....Dante is being rlly mean by not contacting her at all for a decade (?) and just came back for a job...from that line alone, you can tell how much it broke Lucia bc she saw Dante as someone who understood her, someone who probably appriciates her for who she is !!! but all that felt empty when he never rlly made the effort to see her.
