I love the sorting meme thing you have done - I know it is inspired but another similar meme, but how did you categorize them? Like, how did you figure out who is sanguine and who is blue? Sorry my English is not good

No worries! Your English is great, don’t ever worry about that. :) Here are the tests for the sorting. I normally take them as if I am the character to figure out their personality types.

What would be the top 3 things you would change about the prequels?

1. Jar Jar Binks and the other aliens like Watto that are playing off of racial stereotypes. Not only are they perpetuating horribly negative ideas about ethnic groups, but they’re obnoxious, poorly written characters that add very little to the plot other than ‘comic relief’.

2. The amount of CGI. I’m kind of anti-CGI to begin with because I find puppetry and animatronics to be so much more authentic and realistic. But to go from the original trilogy which did a pretty great job utilizing these effects to the prequels featuring full-CGI aliens and droids that just don’t hold a candle to the live-action actors or the older movie… It’s an eye-sore, especially Yoda who is one of the best uses of puppetry in film. The prequels take themselves way too seriously as well where the brilliant campy-ness of the originals excuses some of the poorly done (though not for its time) computer graphics and special FX.

3. The casting. It takes a very nuanced, talented actor to play someone as complex as Anakin, and Hayden Christensen just didn’t cut it. He had absolutely no chemistry with Natalie Portman, and he was melodramatic at the worst times. The movies have pretty weak scripts and bad directing, but a lot of the actors like Neeson, McGregor, and Jackson still managed to navigate their way through and carry their parts well.

I love your blog so much! You like the same things that I do... GoT, Cinderella, Richard, Natalie... I've only just found out that people actually ship Robb and Margaery which makes me so happy! Do you know of any good fanfics of them?

Ah, I love meeting other Robbaery shippers! I would recommend anything by rebeccavis. Frozen Rose is really beautiful. A Clever Distraction is very sweet. The Spine of Your Body and Its Bones is fantastic!

howd you make those pokemon trainer card looking thing edits?? they're so good!

Thank you so much! I used this amazing template from icycatelf on deviantart and then customized the sprites on photoshop to look like the characters from GoT.

The idea of Arianne and Jaime reminds me of Pocahontas and John Smith am i crazy 😂😂

Haha, you’re not crazy at all! theladymargaery and I always compare them to Esmeralda and Pheobus. There are a lot of parallels and they fit the characters personality-wise as well as physically, though Jaime is probably a bit more morally grey than Pheobus. Still, his job as captain entails that he protect Frollo, who he quickly realizes is corrupt and ultimately turns against, just as Jaime had a duty to The Mad King as member of the kingsguard and also broke his vows after he killed him. Then there’s the obvious comparison of Esmeralda to Arianne - both women who are very comfortable with themselves and aware their feminine allure, who demand justice and are outspoken and fearless, and who are also judged by outside eyes because of their beliefs, status, skin color, etc.

But we also work on an ASOIAF RP based on the Western genre, and in it we’ve made the Dornish similar to Native Americans with Northerners invading their land and trying to build railroads on their territory. (As well as a bunch of other historical comparisons that I won’t bore you with.) So I can totally see where you’re coming from with Pocahontas.

i've realised margaery and arianne are actually alike in many ways. i'd like to see them together (as friends), they would get along well

Yesss! I think that generation of Martells and Tyrells would be really good friends if given the chance. The Tyrell children don’t share the same prejudice that their elders do against the Dornish, and I believe they’d thrive in a liberal, accepting society. Imagine Loras not having to hide his sexuality! Arianne and Margaery are also the only sister among brothers and are vying for power in the midst patriarchy - even if they are doing it in different ways. They’re also intelligent and brave and know which strengths to use to manipulate people. Both of their grand plans have fallen through while they tried their best to play the game. Arianne would be a great older sister figure for Margaery.

(also I should make a gifset)

WHY DOESN'T ANYBODY ELSE SHIP JAIME X ARIANNE 😭😭😭

I don’t know! There are a million crackships under the sun, but Jaime and Arianne a) are actually still alive in the books and b) would be really good together.

TBH I was initially drawn to GoT because I read the first 2 books of ASOIAF and there were so many multi-dimensional, empowering women, and I thought GoT would be the same. It is so sad that the female characters were instead used simply for shock value. I don't really want to watch it anyway because there is too much blood and violence for me, but now knowing what they have done to Sansa (my fav character) this completely puts me off. Also, we are both Cinderella fans! *high five* Hv a nice day

YES! I actually started reading the books because I loved season one so much and was so impressed by the wide variety of women that I could relate to and connect with. But at this point D&D have erased Jeyne Westerling, Jeyne Poole, Lady Stoneheart, Arianne, more than half of the Sand Snakes, etc... And then destroyed the female characters they did decide to include because they a) can’t see past the surface and write people in black & white instead of grey, b) care more about events than development, and c) are inherently misogynistic and continue to make decisions that show it.

The thing is - nothing is really shocking anymore because we've all been desensitized. We’ve learned to expect rape and assault and violence out of Game of Thrones because it happens every episode. It’s lost the suspense aspect of season one and the magic of following characters on a journey that actually takes them places and has them make decisions based on development instead of whether or not D&D want to include a scene they liked in the books.

Anyway, sorry to go on a rant. All of my followers know by now how much I hate the show/prefer the books by now. And high five for liking Cinderella! That movie is beautiful. You have a good day as well!

I'd just like to echo that last anon! I didn't ship Robb x Margaery until I stumbled upon your page, tbh, and once I did, there was no stopping it.

Oh my goodness, this is such a lovely message! Thank you for taking the time to send me this! It’s so wonderful to know that people appreciate the edits I put on tumblr, and I love it when our little fandom grows a bit more. Robb x Margaery shippers are some of the greatest people.

Ok your blog is perfect omg

Wow, thank you so much! I think the majority of people who follow me don’t ship Robb and Margaery romantically, but that’s fine! You’re very sweet for reblogging my posts anyway. You are so lovely! Thank you for this message. It’s people like you that help me be optimistic on days when I’m not feeling so great!

You're so brave and strong. I just want to say that I really admire you!

Wow, thank you so much! I wouldn’t call myself either of those things, but it’s really sweet to hear that from someone else. I am a survivor, that much I’ll say, and I’m trying to press on despite what life throws at me. I only hope that I can bring some happiness and light to other people.
