Topping out at little more than 300 meters, Mt. Bonapsan is not a high peak. It does, however, overlook the Bukhangang River, in whose narrow valley low-hanging clouds gather in the early morning, especially in autumn.

The pre-dawn moments from the peak of holy Mt. Taebaeksan. Koreans have long regarded the ancient yew trees as sacred, too. The views were much better than last year, when I went up in a snow storm.
