Here’s a preview of a little something I’m working on  before I leave. 

It’s going to be hard to set these ideas on the shelf for awhile during my mission, but I know that I’ll be better prepared when I can pick them back up again. It’s crazy to see how large this dream has already become! I put a picture from just over a year ago under the cut. I can’t believe how much I and these characters have progressed! It really hit me this last week how short 18 months can be, yet how much can happen and how much a person can grow. I want to assure you all, and myself, that I still plan on making ALL THE little THINGS become a reality. Thank you all for the support you’re given me so far!  

Tucker made Lily a macaroni noodle necklace.

These kids being cute makes me smile too.

I wanted to finish this by Valentines day, but school got in the way. We all do our best right? Macaroni necklaces and flat belated sketches. 

Quick and messy. Why do I bother calling them warm-ups if I post them so late... 

I Love all you guys who support this pet project of mine. Thanks for putting up with all my brainstorm bursts and out of context content.  You are my motivation to keep working to keep ALLTHElittleTHINGS alive and progressing. 

I have a weakness for Tucker crooning softly with his guitar. What a sweet little snail son.

Inktober Day 3! For those of you who don’t know who these guys are, these are my two sweet little mollusk children from my (Very slowly, yet still sometime progressing) webcomic ‘All The little Things’! Lily is the adorable witch, and Tucker is having the time of his life ‘trick or treating’ for the first time ever as a zombie! Hope you all enjoy the little tidbit! 

Happy start to the holidays, and eventually Halloween! 

For those of you interested, my materials are featured in the second photo. I have a small assortment of very old and well loved Faber Castle brush pens. The line art is done with fine and micro tipped pens. My main black one is also Faber Castle but I also found a set of colored scrap booking pens in my basement that I have really been enjoying. The majority of the color though is done with common highlighters! I take photos of my art with my cheap little cellphone.

I will admit this piece could have turned out better if I had better inking materials, but I really also want to be able to show everyone that you can make art with anything! It doesn’t have to be an expensive hobby! Just doodle with what you have!

Your best tool in art is yourself! And that only gets better with time and practice! I’m excited to see where this challenge takes me. It’s hard, and I’m already struggling, but that is NEVER a bad thing! 

Keep going! Keep working! If you’re broke or poor, don’t worry! Work with what you have right now! If you’re inexperienced, don’t worry! Work with what you have right now! Just make art! I’m excited to see what people turn out within the next month, and forever after! 

Here is Tucker for @lifefilledwithstories.  I was asked to draw him learning to juggle, but then I decided that Tucker would have more fun just playin’ round with a hacky sac. It’s rough, and quick, but eh, sometimes you just gotta toss an idea around for fun you know?

Tucker C7 for @coconutfanatic​. I had trouble thinking of something that could make Tucker look so not amused. I figured a past enemy predator could do it. He REALLY hates birds. 

“Yeah, I see you there you feathered demon, not so scary now, huh? Just try breakin’ open THIS shell punk! That’s right, not even an early bird gets this worm!”

30 expressions Challenge! Not quite all 30, but a few of my favorites! Here’s everybody’s favorite gastropod! Mah main mollusk Tucker! Still ain’t got a shell. I’m working on designs now, but nothing is sticking... but it’ nice to get his lovely lil’ face down, and his hat is getting easier everyday! Also, I think that the style is really solidifying. This may be a sneak peek into what ‘All The little Things’ is going to look like. If anybody’s got tips tricks, or just has a cool idea for how to put a shell on dis guy, let me know! I’m always open to ideas!
